The Project Symposium was conducted for final year students in the department on 19-12-2020. There
were 17 project groups and the students were asked to present their review paper for their proposed project
in front of external resource persons. Some of the photos captured during Symposium are shown above.

 With Bosch Rexroth’s unique technical knowledge & expertise in
AutomationTechnologies, IEEE PES student Branch chapter of DSATM conducted a
workshop on Bosch Rexroth PLC, Pneumatics and hydraulics
 Hydraulic and pneumatic drives are widely used to give linear or rotary outputs in the
robots. Therefore, these systems use devices such as linear pistons and rotary vane
actuators to accomplish the motion of the joint.
 Pneumatic drive is normally used for smaller robots used in simple material transfer
applications. Electric drive and hydraulic drives are used on sophisticated industrial
robots.
 The development of low cost computer has revolutionized the in the field of
programmable logic controller (PLC). These are gaining popularity in many
applications, specifically in manufacturing controls, etc.

Inauguration of Institution of Engineers India(IEI) and seminar was organized by Electrical
and Electronics Engineering Dept., DSATM on 17th January 2018 on “Role of engineers in
present society”.
 The talk was delivered by an industry expert Dr. Chikkanna,Professor,
Aerospacepropulsion technology center ofVTU, Bengaluru center, StateChairman of
IEI.
 The talk was attended by the students of 3rd,5th and 7th semester Students.
 The subject expert produced ppt presentation on the said areas.

Apps, CPRI, Honeywell, Schneider Electric etc., Presently Professor, BNMIT.
Day 3: Industrial Visit to NPTI, HLT Centre for Real Time Session
Day 4: Live line Maintenance of transmission Lines upto 400KV using BHM, by Mr. S. Prakash,
Assistant Director, NPTI, Bangalore
