A Manual on How to Prepare a Project Report


(Session: 2022 – 2023)

GREATER NOIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MBA Institute)

1. KMBN152 - Mini Project Report
In first semester, the students are required to develop an innovative idea for product or services
and a project report to be prepared on that idea under the guidance and supervision of faculty
member.
Report will be prepared individually, and this report will consist of importance and relevance of
innovative idea, its feasibilities and detail descriptions.
The report will be evaluated by one external examiner appointed by university. Student has to
present his output through a seminar.
The Mini Project Report will carry 50 marks.
Out of which 25 marks will be awarded by Internal Examiner and 25 marks by External
Examiner).

Course Outcome
CO1. Gain in depth knowledge on innovative idea for product or services in form of a project
report.
CO2. To apply innovative idea, its feasibilities and detail descriptions.

1. AUTHENTICITY OF THE REPORT


A certificate from the supervisor and the Director certifying the authenticity of the report shall be
attached therewith. The student will submit two copies of the report to the Director office on or
before the date given by the faculty supervisor. The number of pages in the report will be 15-20
or more. The report should be typed in A-4 size paper.

2. NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE SUBMITTED FOR EVALUATION:


Two neatly typed (one sided only) and spiral bound copies of the report along with a copy of CD
of this report shall be submitted to the Department.

3. SIZE OF PROJECT REPORT:


The average size of report ordinarily shall be minimum 15 typed pages (Times New Roman) in
standard font size (12) and double spacing, typed in A-4 size paper.

4. SEQUENCE OF THE ITEMS IN THE REPORT:


The following sequence may be followed in the preparation of the Project Report:

1. Cover Page/ Title Page (Annexure A)
2. Candidate’s Declaration (Annexure B)
3. Certificate from Supervisor & Head of Department (Annexure C)
4. Acknowledgement (Annexure D)
5. Executive Summary
6. Content Page (Annexure E)
7. List of Tables
8. List of Figures

Part II
1. Industry choice and its overview
2. Market size of the industry in India
3. Business Model/s
4. Major competitors in the industry - a small brief on each of them about their business model,
market share.
5. Impact of technology and its application in the industry
6. Emerging technology impact - how it is changing or has the potential to change the business
landscape (give an example)
7. Estimated market size and market shares based on the impact of emerging technologies
8. Conclusion
9. Bibliography (if any) (please refer to the sample format given below.)

1. Appendices (if any)
Note: - Please do not include any header or footer in any page of the report. Only page
numbers should be mentioned at the bottom center of each page.

following examples. References should be cited properly inside the text of the report.

C. PROJECT WORK AND THESIS


Author name. Full title of the report. Publication type. Location and name of institution. Date of
