Your conditional offer


Course title: Full-time BSc Honours Nursing (Adult)

Course start date: This is currently provisionally scheduled to take place week commencing 2 September 2024. Further
instructions will be sent to you at a later date
Expected end date: 9 September 2027

You will shortly receive a link from CAS Shield, which is the system we use to collect and verify your information and documents.

We require the following documents and information from you in order to progress your application and be considered for an
Unconditional Offer:

Standard XII Higher Secondary Certificate from a recognised All India or State Board with at least 60% overall ;
Academic IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 6, with 5.5 or above in each component (or Standard XII Higher
Secondary Certificate with 65% or above in English or accepted equivalent); a satisfactory academic or employment
reference; payment of a tuition fee deposit of £8100. If your evidence of English proficiency is not Academic IELTS,
you will normally be required to pass an English language interview booked via CAS Shield. 50% or above in
mathematics in your Secondary (Standard X) Certificate or Higher Secondary (Standard XII) Certificate or accepted
equivalent and completed Self Declaration of Offences Form

You may need to pass an English language interview and/or a compliance interview to be considered for an Unconditional Offer.

You will find advice on whether an English language interview and/or a compliance interview will be required and how to book on
CAS Shield.

Please upload your documents and complete the steps on CAS Shield as soon as possible.
You will also need to meet the following non-academic conditions by the start of your first placement:
Have satisfactory health clearance from the University's occupational health provider Spire Occupational Health (formerly
Soma Health).
Pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
A satisfactory police clearance certificate from any country where you have lived for more than 3 months. For assistance
please refer to the guidance on the application process for criminal records checks overseas on the gov.uk website.

Clinical placements
As part of your course you will complete clinical placements in every year of study. Your placement locations will be confirmed once
you start the course and could be in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
Financial information
The University will charge International students a tuition fee of £16200 for the 2024/25 academic year. You can find further
information about our course fees, tuition fee loans and our policy on tuition fees on our website. Tuition fees usually
increase annually in line with inflation.

Your tuition fee deposit should be paid by 3 June 2024.

A £500 early payment discount is available to International students who pay the full fee due to the University before 30
September 2024.

The University of Worcester is pleased to offer a number of very generous scholarships, based on a range of criteria. Please
see our website for full details.

As an International student, you will be required to hold a certain level of maintenance funds to cover your living costs whilst
you are in the UK. The amount you need to show for your visa application currently is £1,023 per month up to a maximum of 9
months, so in total, you will need £9,207 excluding tuition fees. The UKVI regularly reviews this figure and it is liable to
change. Further information on your student visa is available online. If you are considering bringing dependants please check
your eligibility before making plans. If you are able to bring dependants then please be aware that you will be required to
show maintenance for them as well as yourself.

1. Create a CAS Shield account and upload the required documents using details that will be sent to you in an email directly
from CAS Shield.
2. Respond to our offer
You can accept our offer by following the link below to access your University of Worcester Student Online Environment (SOLE).
You should respond to our offer within 20 working days, which is by 21 June 2024. If you have questions or need any support in

3. Pay your tuition fee deposit


Please pay your tuition fee deposit via Flywire, our official payment partner. You can start the payment process using our
Flywire online payment portal by following the link below.

Your tuition fee deposit is non-refundable, however in exceptional circumstances we may consider a refund after deducting
administrative costs of £500. For further information please refer to section 25 of our terms and conditions. After payment of the
deposit, the balance of the tuition fees should be paid before the start of the second teaching semester.

4. Plan your accommodation


The University has a wide range of single-occupancy on-campus accommodation. Once you have accepted your offer to study with
us, you will be able to apply for a place in accommodation. Please note that accommodation preferences are allocated on a first
come, first served basis.
Applicants who firmly accept an offer of a place and apply for accommodation by 6 June 2024, will be guaranteed a place
in University managed accommodation for their first year of study.

Cancellation
You have the right to change your mind and cancel your place with the University within 14 days of accepting an offer without giving
any reason. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your place by providing a clear statement
in writing (e.g. by e-mail). You can find an example cancellation form on our website, however this form does not have to be
used.
