Letter No. BESCOM/GMQS&S) /DGM-4/AGM-5/BC-35/2023- 24 /821-22 Dtd 12.07.2023 As per the direction of the Government of Karnataka a GO issued vide under Ref 1 for the formation of the Technical Working Group for the preparation of UNIFORM SR across all Government Departments viz., Public Works Department (PWD) - (C&B), Water Resource & Development Organization (WRDO), Minor Irrigation (MI), Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), Bengaluru Water supply & Sewage Board (BWSSB), Karnataka Urban Water supply & Sewage Board (KUWSSB), Rural Water Supply (RWS), Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), Electricity Supply Company’s (ESCOMs), Public Works Department (PWD) ~ Electrical. Ref : ‘The purpose of the Technical Working Group is as below > Removal of duplicate items in SR of all Govt Organization considering PWD as the Nodal organization. > No item in SR of one Organization shall be indicated in any SR’s of the statewide SR of other organization. » Revision of the rates approved by the competent authorities of the concerned organization, For Electrical Departments (KPTCL, ESCOMs & PWD Electrical) the following methodology is adopted and BESCOM being the nodal organization a, To segregate the items into 3 category i.e., Transmission, Distribution and Utilization b. Within the premises of the building the rates of PWD Electrical SR, beyond the premises ESCOMs rates up to the power tapping and beyond are the rates of KPTCL shall be considered. c. To adopt specification and rates of ESCOMs for all electrical works between the property end and tapping point for power from KPTCLThe draft CSR was placed in the meeting held on 27.04.2023. The committee deliberated and discussed on the draft proposal placed in the meeting. Several meetings were held with Technical Working Group. Approval was accorded for changes and the final copy was sent to The Chairman, Technical Working Group vide letter under Ref. 3 Accordingly a Government Order No. PWD 86 RDF 2022, Bengaluru Dtd 15.11.2023 is issued to publish the Schedule of Rates in the concerned organization’s website. Approval is also accorded in above Government Order under ref 2, to revise and publish the Electrical SR as per IEEMA Circulars quarterly for the major materials involving Aluminium, Copper, Steel, Insulating Material, PVC/XLPE Compound, CRGO Core & Transformer Oil.
