The seminar started with Pre-test. Module 1 define NIP which is the pioneer programs of DOH, established in 1976, which aims to
provide immunity against 14 vaccine-preventable diseases. It talks about immunization program management. Module 2 discuss the
Vaccine Preventable Diseases and types of Vaccines. Module 3 tackles on Cold Chain Logistics and Vaccine Management. Module 4
talks on Ensuring Safe Injection. Module 5 details the Interpersonal Communication for Immunization, the importance of Emotional
Summary/ Key Points
Quotient in dealing with patients. Module 6 illustrates how to hold an immunization session. Module 7 discuss Reaching Every Purok
(REP) Strategy & Steps to improve Service Delivery. Module 8 is Recording, Reporting & Monitoring. Module 9 is Surveillance of Priority
diseases/syndromes/conditions. Ms. Macalalad mentions about Key Agreements such as Contingency plan, temperature monitoring
sheet, proper vaccine storage, safety collector boxes, expired & near expiry syringes. The seminar ended with Post-test.
