Select a Vediamo system. It means select the control unit you want to connect to.

It can be an
ECU, or Comand unit, a clock…

The following window opens :

Click on “Change folder” and select the file named “Vediamo Database .cbf”. Then click on OK
button.
Let the computer charge and tick the case “Systems based on DIOGENES data (.cbf files)” :
Once ticked, the .cbf file names appear. Select CR3_UP :

Click on “OK” button :

Then, the following menu appear :


Click on Initiate “ECU contact”.

The communication box must display : “Contact with ECU … established”.

Now, you are almost ready to make a datalog. Click on “Open service group” :
Select the service group I made for this ECU and click on “Open” :

This is the state of the screen after all the job :


You can run the measurement by clicking on “ Start cyclic reading”.

The graphs should display the measurement. If nothing is displayed, there is a problem.

To record the measurement, click on “Start recording data” :

Everything displayed on the graphs and tables would be registered.

To stop recording the measurement, click on “Stop recording” :

A window opens to save the file. Name the file as I asked you and save it on the proper folder.
If you don’t know where it has been registered, it is in the “Vediamo database .cbf” folder, and in
the folder for your variant ECU, in this case it would be in CR3_UP folder.

Click on save.
There are 2 files generated with the same name you gave :

.vsr file
.bin file

The .vsr file is the matrix that contains the graphs and table to display. It’s basically the service
group you opened before.
The .bin file contains the data in the graphs and tables we wanted to record.

You must give me the 2 files. If I don’t have the .bin, the graphs would be empty. If I don’t get the
.vsr, it is impossible to display any graphs with the data recorded.
To analyze a record you made, click on “Service group”, “Open/Analyze Recorded Series” :

Select the file you want to analyze and open it with Vediamo. It will display the graphs you
registered before :

To move on the record and see different period of time, use this cursor :

The time is displayed on the left side.
