NIMHANS is conducting Walk-in-Selection for the following posts on Contract Basis for ICMR-NCDI funded
project titled “Development of a skill-based neurocognitive testing protocol to assess cognition and
diagnose dementia in a context of complex skills and low literacy” under Dr. Suvarna Alladi, Professor &
Head of Neurology and Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru – 560 029.

Qualification related field + One Year post qualification experience

related subject / field.
Desirable qualification Interest in understanding embodied cognition in complex skills
Key To recruit study participants, data collection, editing and transcribing
responsibilities video recordings, coordination of participants or any other work related
to project.
Maximum Age Limit 35 Years
Salary Rs. 36,400/- (Basic pay Rs.28000/- + 30 % HRA (Rs.8,400))

Salary Rs. 72,800/- (Basic pay Rs.56,000/- + 30 % HRA (Rs.16,800))

related disciplines)
Desirable qualification  Atleast one original research article published in science citation
indexed (SCI) journal.
 A demonstrable ability to conduct research independently and
under supervision and in line with the objectives of the project.
 Competence in analytical and conceptual thinking, problem
solving, teamwork, interpersonal relationships, flexibility,
communication in writing and verbal, planning and organizing /
work management
 Specific research experience or interest in working with skilled
workers (craftsmen, musicians and so on)
Key  Observe and understand embodied cognition in skilled workers
responsibilities  Develop tools to understand embodied cognition
 Field visit to do case studies and focus group discussions (FGD)
 Writing of high-quality scientific document independently
Maximum Age Limit 40 Years
Salary Rs. 87,100/- (Basic pay Rs.67,000/- + 30 % HRA (Rs.20,100))
Period 6 months.

WALK- IN-SELECTION with their Resume and Testimonials in ORIGINAL, as well as set of photocopies
will be reviewed at the time of interview, at the Board Room, Adjacent to Academic section, 4th Floor,
NBRC Building, NIMHANS, Bengaluru-560029.
Date and time of Walk-in-selection on 20/12/2024 at 10:00 A.M.
Note: The candidates are required to register their names half an hour before commencement of the
written/skill test.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written/skill test.
NOC from the Principal Investigator is required, If working in projects (Extramural/Intramural) in
NIMHANS
