Indian Young scientists up to the age of 37
years are eligible.
Within Two Years of First Appointment to
establish their Lab / Working facilities.
Competitive mode of funding. Any Person holding
permanent position in Recognized Labs/ Universities
Supports potential scientists for their research
projects in areas of Science and Engineering.
Grants are given for manpower, equipments,
consumables, conferences and contingencies.
Proposals are accepted two times a year.
Average Project Cost: (a) Rs. 80.00 Lakhs for 3 Years
(b) Upto Rs. 5.00 Crore for 3 Years
(c) > 5 Crore for 3 Years

WOMEN EXCELLANCE AWARD: Rs. 5.0 Lakh per Year for 3 Years
Eligibility: Recognition as Young Women Scientist in any of the National
Academies of India.

EXCELLENCE IN SCIENCE (EMEQ)
Student has to work on a problem of interest
of sponsoring industry.
Student gets double the scholarship; One
from Board and one from Industrial sponsor
for 4 years.
OVERSEAS DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPs
• $2000 per month for 5 years
• Integrated Degree (MS +PhD)
• Round Trip by Air India / Alliance
• Contingency Allowance: Rs. 60,000/-
• Admission through Host Institute

Objective: To pave way for the next generation scientists and technologists
from the United States to interact with their Indian peers, thus helping to
