CA2 NON- INSTITUTIONAL CORRECTION

⭐CLASSIFICATION- it is a process of determining the need and requirements of prisoner

⭐DIVERSIFICATION- the principle of separating homogenous type of prisoners that requires speacial
treatment

⭐GATER- check the credentials of the person bringing the inmate

RECORDS UNIT- examines the completeness and authenticity of the requirements

PROPERTY CUSTODIAN- checks the inmates belongings for presence of contraband

ASSISTANT WARDEN- oreints the newly committed inmates

JAIL WARDEN- coordinates with concerned agencies regarding the case of inmate

⭐INMATE COUNT- specified times during each 24 hours period all inmates are physically counted

PAT/FRISK SEARCH- is a search wherein the officer pats or squeezes the subjects clothing to attempt to
detect contraband

RUB SEARCH- pats the subject body over the clothing

STRIP SEARCH- the visual inspection of disrobed or partially disrobed subject

VISUAL BODY CAVITY SEARCH- involves the inspection of the anus and vaginal area

⭐GREYHOUND FORCE- it aims to elimanate in all BJMP manned facilities any form of contraband

BUCOR- Oplan Galugad

⭐FORCE CONTINUUM- escalating level of force commencing from no force to non-deadly force and
ultimately to deadly force

NO FORCE- verbalization

NON-DEADLY FORCE- use of physical force

DEADLY FORCE- a substatial risk of causing death or serious bodily harm such as firearm

PRISON RECORD- information concerning and inmates personal circumstances

⭐DIAGNOSIS- inmates case history is taken and his personality is studied

⭐TREATMENT PLANNING- formulation of tentative treatment program best suited to the need of the
person

⭐EXECUTION OF TREATMENT PROGRAM- actual application of the treatment program


⭐RE-CLASSIFICATION- process of monitoring the response of the prisoner to the treatment program

⭐1ST CLASS INMATE- one whose known character and credit for work while in detention

⭐2ND CLASS INMATE- a newly arrived inmate demoted from first class

⭐3RD CLASS INMATE- one who has either been previously committed for three or more times

⭐FEMALE INMATE- a female inmate shall only be assigned to work on jobs suitable to her age and
physical condition

⭐OLD INMATE- an inmate over 60 years of age may be excused from mandatory labor

⭐INMATE COMPENSATION- 6 months after being permanently assign to work in prison, an inmate may
receive compensation credits

DETAINEE- privilege to were civilian clothes and to grow his hair in his customary style

INMATE HEAD COUNT

BJMP- 5 TO 6 TIMES A DAY

BUCOR- 4 TIMES A DAY

⭐MASS JAIL BREAK- all members of the custodial force shall be imediately issued firearms and assigned
to critical posts to seal off all possible escape routes

PREGNANT FEMALE INMATE

BJMP- Atleast 6 months to allow exclusive breastfeeding. Maximum of tweve months

BUCOR- not more than 1 year

NON- INSTITUTIONAL CORRECTIONS- refers to thar method of correcting sentenced offenders without
having to go to prison

EXECUTIVE CLEMENCY- it is the power of the chief executive to grant amnesty

BAIL- the release of a person in custody of the law furnished by him or a bondsman

PAROLE- the sense of word of honor or promise

BAIL JUMPING- the criminal offense of defaulting on ones bail

BAILEE- a person who recieves personal property from another as a bailment

BAILER/BAIL AGENT/BAIL BONDSMAN- one who provides bail as a surety for a criminal defendants
release

BAIL BOND- a bond given by a court

BAIL COMMISSIONER- a judge empowered to hold an emergency hearing

EXCESSIVE BAIL- bail that is unreasonably high

PERSONAL RECOGNIZANCE- the release of a defendant in a criminal case in which the court takes the
defendants word that he or she will appear for a scheduled matter or when told to appear

SURETY- a person who is primarily liable for the payment of another's debt or the performance of
another's obligation

PROBATION- GIVEN BY THE COURT- GIVE AFTER CONVICTION

PAROLE- GIVEN BY THE BPP-GIVEN AFTER SERVING THE MINIMUM SENTENCE

BOARD OF PARDONS

BPP- HEADED BY A CHAIRMAN(SEC DOJ)

PPA- HEADED BY AN ADMINISTRATOR

PAROLE-continue the remaining maximum sentence

PROBATION- serve the original sentence in full

SUMMARY REPORT- it refers to the final report submitted by the probation


ACT. 4103- INDETERMINATE SENTENCE LAW

GENERAL TYPES OF PARDON

1. SPECIAL PARDON- pardon given to a single individual

2. GENERAL PARDON- pardon given to classes or group of people

ABSOLUTE PARDON- it is granted without any condition and restores to the individual his civil rights

CONDITIONAL PARDON- the extinction of the criminal liability of an individual, within certain limits or
conditions, from the punishment

AMNESTY- power granting or general pardon for a past offense who have committed crimes of a political
character, such as treason, sedition or rebellion

EXECUTIVE CLEMENCY- shall refer to absolute pardon, conditional pardon, commutation of sentence
and reprieve as may be granted by the president of the philippines

CLEMENCY- means the forgiveness of a crime or the cancellation of the penalty associated with it

PARDON- privilege act of grace

ABSOLUTE PARDON- total extinction of criminal liability it is granted without any condition whatsoever
and remits the penalty

CONDITIONAL PARDON- the exemption of an individual, within certain limits or conditions

AMNESTY- amnesty is a general pardon extended to a certain class of people who are usually political
offenders( for political offenders)

REPRIEVE- is the temporary stay of the execution of an sentence

COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE- the reduction of the duration of prison sentence

PARDON- granted by the President( 1pardon = 1 person) (granted after conviction)

AMNESTY- granted by the President with concurrence of congress(1 amnesty = group)(even before trial
or filing of complaint
