ARTICLE 3: AIMS:
The aims of the Pentecostal assemblies of God-Kenya shall be as follows:-3.1 To preach the
gospel, with signs following, to everybody.3.2 To establish self-supporting, self-governing, self-
propagatingAssemblies and Districts which believe obey and propagate the fullgospel
message.3.3 To provide sound Christian teaching for all members and adherents.
3.4 To operate on its own or in collaboration with other individuals, bodies,organizations, or
institutions such departments, institutions, bodies, funds,charities or organizations as shall further
the accomplishment of theobjectives herein or improve the welfare of members and the society at
large.
3.5 To acquire, own, develop and/or use such properties either freeholdor leasehold within and
without Kenya in such manner as shall promoteand further the accomplishment of the aims and
objectives of PAG-Kenya.
ARTICLE 4: STANDARD OF FAITH
Members of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God-Kenya shall subscribe to thefollowing
fundamental beliefs;4 . 1 T h e B i b l e i s i n s p i r e d b y G o d a n d i s t h e o n l y i n f a l l i b l e
a n d a u t h o r i t a t i v e word of God, the only rule for Christian faith and conduct.4 . 2 T h e r e i s
o n e G o d , e t e r n a l l y e x i s t e n t i n t h r e e p e r s o n s : G o d t h e F a t h e r , God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit.4 . 3 T h e d e i t y a n d h u m a n i t y o f o u r L o r d J e s u s C h r i s t , H i s
v i r g i n b i r t h , h i s sinless life, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of
theFather, and his personal future return to the earth in power and glory to therule over the
nations.

4.4The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the
f a l l , rendering man powerless and subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.4 . 5 T h e o n l y
m e a n s o f s a l v a t i o n i s b y g r a c e , a t u r n i n g t o G o d i n repentance, and faith in the
Lord Jesus Christ; and that this results inregeneration by the Holy Spirit.4 . 6 T h e r e d e m p t i v e
w o r k o f t h e L o r d J e s u s C h r i s t o n t h e c r o s s provides healing in the human body
in answer to prayer of faith.4 . 7 T h e B a p t i s m o f t h e H o l y S p i r i t w i t h t h e o u t w a r d
e v i d e n c e o f speaking in tongues according to Acts 2 is given to believers who meetGod’s
condition for receiving.4 . 8 T h e s a n c t i f y i n g p o w e r o f t h e H o l y S p i r i t b y w h o s e
i n d w e l l i n g t h e Christian is enabled to live a holy life.4 . 9 T h e r e s u r r e c t i o n o f t h e
s a v e d a n d t h e l o s t , t h e o n e t o e v e r l a s t i n g life and the other to everlasting damnation
ARTICLE 5: ORDINANCES AND PRACTICES
All PAG-Kenya members shall recognize the following ordinances and practices:5.1 Baptism in
water-All who believes in Christ as Savior and Lord andrepent of their sins, are baptized in water
by immersion, declaring to theworld that they have died with Christ and that they have been
raised withHim to walk in the newness of life.(Matthew 28:19,Rom.6:1).5.2 Holy Communion-
This is the Lord’s supper consisting of bread andthe fruit of the vine, symbolic of the believer’s
sharing the divine natureof the Lord Jesus Christ (2Peter 1:4), a memorial of his suffering
anddeath (1Cor.11:26), and the promise of His second coming and isenjoined on believers until
He comes.

5.3 Dedication of children5.4 Christian marriage5.5 Christian burial of the dead5.6 Prayer for the
baptism in the Holy Spirit5.7 Prayer for the sick.
ARTICLE 6: MEMBERSHIP
The Church consists of the following:6 . 1 A d h e r e n t s : A d h e r e n t s i n c l u d e a l l
w h o w i s h t o f e l l o w s h i p a n d receive spiritual nourishment through the local
assembly.6 . 2 J u n i o r M e m b e r s h i p : P e r s o n s b e t w e e n t h e a g e s o f 1 2 a n d
1 6 w h o fulfill the requirements for full membership shall be eligible for junior membership.
Such members do not qualify for voting privileges atassembly
meeting.6 . 3 A s s o c i a t e M e m b e r s : A s s o c i a t e m e m b e r s h i p i s o p e n
to persons;a ) o v e r 1 6 y e a r s o f a g e w h o a r e b o r n
a g a i n . b)who are members of other churches but wish to fellowshipwith the local
assemblyc ) w h o s e a d m i s s i o n i n t o f u l l m e m b e r s h i p i s u n d e r
p r o c e s s a n d consideration6 . 4 F u l l M e m b e r s : F u l l m e m b e r s h i p i s o p e n t o
p e r s o n s w h o a r e o v e r 16 years of age, provided the following qualifications are
met:a ) t h e p e r s o n s h a v e g i v e n a c r e d i b l e c o n f e s s i o n a n d p r o f e s s i o n of
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour. b)has been baptized in water by immersion.

c ) l i v e s a l i f e t h a t p o r t r a y s h o l y l i v i n g a s e v i d e n c e d b y refraining from
acts of sinful nature as; sexual immorality,impurity, debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
discord, fits or rage, selfish ambition, dissention, factions, envy, drunkenness,orgies, and the like
(Gal.5:19-21). Sexual immorality shall beinterpreted to mean common-law relationships,
premarital andextramarital sexual relationships (1Cor.6:15-18, 7:1-2, 1Thes. 4:3-8, Heb. 13:4)
and all forms of homosexual and lesbian activity,along with all other practices deemed
inexcusable for Christianconduct which place a person under God’s judgement (Rom.1:26-

a s s e m b l y in tithes, offerings and gifts.6 . 5 T r a n s f e r o f M e m b e r s h i p : M e m b e r s o f a n
a s s e m b l y m o v i n g t o another locality may be given a letter of transfer by the
membershipcommittee of the Assembly from which he/she is transferring to the
newassembly.6 . 6 R e s i g n a t i o n : A n y m e m b e r d e s i r i n g t o r e s i g n f r o m t h e
a s s e m b l y shall submit his/her resignation in writing to the assembly Secretary andit shall take
effect from the date of receipt by the Secretary of suchnotice.Suspension/termination of
membership in an assembly shallinclude the following:a ) a n y p r o v e n i m m o r a l a c t o r
u n c h r i s t i a n c o n d u c t a f t e r f u l l investigation of evidence. b)the propagation
of doctrines and practices contrary to those set outin the Standard of Faith which cause serious
discord, disunity anddissention with malicious intent (Romans16:17,18).

ARTICLE 7: ESTABLISHMENT OF ASSEMBLIES
7 . 1 A n A s s e m b l y i s a g r o u p o f m e m b e r s w h o h a v e a g r e e d t o c o m e together in a
local church which meets in a building owned, leased or rented in the PAG-Kenya to worship
God, fellowship, observe churchordinances, and be instructed in the Bible and church
doctrine.7 . 2 T h e D i s t r i c t C o m m i t t e e s h a l l v e r i f y t h a t a p r o s p e c t i v e
a s s e m b l y has attained the minimum required condition necessary and petition theBoundaries
Review Commission for the granting of assembly status.7 . 3 S e l f
G o v e r n m e n t : T h e a s s e m b l y s h a l l h a v e t h e r i g h t t o g o v e r n itself according to the
New Testament Scriptures (Ephesians 4:3, 13) andaccording to this constitution.7 . 4 R e a l
Estate: A self-governing assembly shall have the
r i g h t t o purchase, acquire by gift, lease or rent real estate under the title of thePAG-Kenya as
may be necessary for the furtherance of the assembly’s purposes.7 . 5 A u t h o r i t y : A s e l f -
g o v e r n i n g a s s e m b l y s h a l l b e f r e e t o d e a l w i t h t h e land in whatever manner it
deems necessary for the furtherance of theinterests of the PAG-Kenya, provided it gets authority
from the DistrictCommittee which in turn notify the General Executive.7 . 6 M i n i m u m
s i z e : A n a s s e m b l y m u s t h a v e n o t l e s s t h a n f i f t y ( 5 0 ) adult attenders on a regular
basis.7 . 7 F i n a n c i a l R e q u i r e m e n t s : A s e l f - g o v e r n i n g a s s e m b l y m u s t demonstrate
its ability to care for the pastor’s salary and all other expenses.7 . 8 A u t o n o m y : W h e n a n
a s s e m b l y r e a c h e s t h e l e v e l o f 5 0 0 a n d a b o v e adult attenders on a regular basis that
