Woman Why do you like it?
Man Because it’s fun and it’s a good workout, too!
2 Man Hi, what would you like to drink?
Woman I’d like a cup of coffee with milk.
Man Anything to eat?
Woman Yes, a chicken salad, please.
Man Sure, anything else?
Woman No, thanks ... actually, no coffee, can I have a cola
instead?
Man No problem.
3 Woman Hello darling! Do you like your new class?
Boy Erm, well … yes, mm … it’s OK.
Woman Oh no, that doesn’t sound very good. Is it the
teacher?
Boy No, the teacher is interesting, but the other students
aren’t nice to me – I’m not happy about that.
Woman Oh no.
4 Woman Let’s go shopping this weekend and buy some
things for school in September. What do you need?
Girl I need a new notebook and some pens.
Woman Okay, what else?
Girl I really need some new headphones.
Woman Headphones? For school?
Girl Yes, I need them for my music class.
5 Girl 1 Hey, Isabel. How are you? What's your vlog about
this week?
Girl 2 It’s about homework. I’ve got some good study tips,
but I can’t make the video work because there’s
something wrong with my computer.
Girl 1 Oh no!
Girl 2 I know you’re good with computers. Can you help me,
Linda?
Girl 1 Yes, of course.
6 Boy Hey! What's that?
Girl It’s a new board game. Do you want to play a game with
me now?
Boy No, I don’t. I love playing video games, but I can’t stand
board games. Sorry!
