1.0 ADMISSION BY NORMAL ENTRY AND SPECIAL ENTRY INTO UNDERGRADUATE


DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR.

1.1 Applications are invited from candidates who meet the requirements for entry into First Year Undergraduate
Programmes.

1.2 Applications should be submitted online, on the NUST Website: www.nust.ac.zw or follow this link
https://apply.nust.ac.zw/apply/ or download, complete and submit form to:-

1.4 Payment Procedures


Application Fee

a) Zimbabwean Nationals
An application fee of US$20 must be paid during the online application process.

b) International Applicants
The application fee for International Applicants is US$30.

Closing dates of application

a) The closing date for applications is 30 May 2024

Late Application Fee

a) Zimbabwean Nationals
The late application fee of USD30 must be paid during the online application process.

b) International Applicants
The late application fee for international applicants is USD40

The closing date for late application is 28 June, 2024

DEGREE PROGRAMMES

FACULTY DEGREE PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor of Design and The 2-year programme targets non-graduate school teachers
Technology Education (Honours) and related personnel in the field of education.
Degree A recognised Diploma or Certificate in Education in any of the
following: Applied Art and Design; Clothing, Textile and
Fashion Design; Design and Technology. Possession of a
relevant ‘A’ Level subject will be an advantage.
Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English
and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Education A recognised Secondary School Diploma or Certificate in any
(Honours) Degree of the following: Accounting and Business Studies;
Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Computer
Science.
Applicants must have at least 5 ‘O’ Level subject passes
including English Language and Mathematics.
Applicants with a Primary School teaching qualification must
also have a pass at A level in the intended subject of study or
equivalent.
Bachelor of Technology A National Diploma or equivalent qualification in any of the
Education (Honours) Degree following subjects: Civil and Construction Engineering;
Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Mechanical and
Industrial Engineering; Technical Graphics; Wood Science
and Technology.
Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English
Language and Mathematics.
Additionally, applicants must have a Diploma or Certificate in
Engineering, Technology, Technical or Vocational education.
Applicants must be non-graduate school teachers, college
lecturers, trainers, instructors and related personnel in schools,
institutions, organizations and industry who meet the
requirements for admission by special entry into the two-year
programme.
Bachelor of Design and 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following: Applied Art and
Technology Education Honours Design; Clothing, Textile; Fashion Design, Design and
Degree (4 Years) Technology including the relevant subject of specialization or
its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English language
and Mathematics.

Bachelor of Science Education Subject Options:
Honours Degree (4Years) Accounting and Business Studies, Mathematics, Biology,
Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science including the
relevant subject of specialization or its equivalent.
5 ‘O’ Level passes including English language and
Mathematics.
Bachelor of Technology Subject Options: Civil and Construction Engineering,
Education Honours Degree Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Technical Graphics,
(4Years) Wood Science and Technology, and Electrical and Electronics
Engineering.
Entry requirements: Two ‘A’ Level passes including the
relevant subject of specialization or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level
passes including English language and Mathematics.

Educational and Professional Certificates.
