Safety Reminder:
Safety is always our top priority.
Please follow ALL traffic signs. The speed limit is 10 mph. Cell phone use
while driving on property is not permitted. Do not pass any other vehicles.
Never touch or pick up a child or a wheelchair. Some children may have
hidden ports or tubes. We do not want to cause harm or disable a device.
Volunteers should never enter a families villa for any reason.
If there is an emergency on property, dial 911 from a Village landline when
available. This will alert first responders that the call came from GKTW and
will alert the guest services manager on duty who will assist with the
emergency.

Attendance Policy
We rely on our volunteers to be responsible and accountable. Volunteers
should make sure they are able to attend their shift before signing up.
Any volunteer who has three (3) negative attendance marks within a 30
day period will lose their access to sign up for shifts online. You will still be
able to volunteer, but you will need to call or email volunteer services to
schedule. During this time, you will only be able to be scheduled for one
volunteer shift at a time. Once you complete six (6) shifts in a row without
any negative attendance marks, you will regain your Volgistics access.
A negative attendance mark is anytime you have to call in within 24 hours
of a shift or if you do not show up for a scheduled shift.
If it is less than 48 hours before the start of your shift, you will not be able
to cancel your shift online and should contact volunteer services.
5
The Volunteer Portal
After completing orientation, you will be able to log in to your volunteer account
on Volgistics. This is where you will sign up for volunteer shifts.
Your username will be the email address you used when submitting your
application to volunteer. You will have the opportunity to create your own
password and complete your profile information. You are also able to upload a
photo of yourself, but this is not required.
To remove yourself from the shift, you will click on the shift you are scheduled
for and then click the button that says "remove me". If it is within 48 hours of
your shift, you will need to call Volunteer Services to be removed.
Volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be scheduled with an adult who is at
least 18 years old. The adult will need to find two spots available that fit the age
and qualifications of the child, sign themselves up for one spot, and then call
Volunteer Services to add the child to the second spot.
