Assignment.

 Please be crisp, yet comprehensive and cover all relevant points in your responses.

 While there is no word limit specified, it is expected that the answer be around 500
words.

 Weightage will be given to responses which are ORIGINAL (avoid copy-paste or


replication of the contents of your response from any source ‘as it is’) and wherein
the learnings have been well captured. Please provide realistic and practical
responses, which display a HR bent of mind. Make necessary assumptions, as may be
required and state the same at the start of your answer.

 Please note that in case the answer of two or more candidates are similar in nature
and resemble each other to a large extent, it is likely to adversely impact the marks
of the concerned students.
Situation:

An Organization (Start-up) which is in the business of manufacture of dresses for Pets


(essentially dogs and cats) is unable to attract qualified Fashion Designers to the
organization. The compensation paid by the company is in par with industry standards.
The Organization is based in Mumbai and presently has a team of 100 employees. You
are the HR Head of the Organization and the CEO is keen that you ramp up the
recruitment of Fashion Designers within the next 6 months. What are the HR Strategies
you would use in order to attract talented Fashion Designers to the Organization, so that
you are then able to select the best of the lot and bridge the present gap in Fashion
Designers. Think of some effective and innovative Strategies (top 5 Strategies) for this
purpose, keeping in mind the niche skills required for the job. Suitably elaborate and
justify your response. You can make assumptions, as may be required, and state the
same clearly in your response.
