School Fees 2024

Enrolment Acceptance Fees - non-refundable
Early Learning Centre - Year 11 $3,000

We encourage alumni to stay connected with the School, so when your
daughter leaves Tara, $300 from the enrolment acceptance fee covers
lifetime membership to the Tara Old Girls’ Association. From each non-
refundable enrolment acceptance fee, $1,250 goes towards growing the
Foundation Endowment Fund and $750 is allocated to our Foundation
Scholarship Fund ($250 for subsequent sister enrolment).

Schedule of Periodic Payments 2024
Tuition and boarding statements for Early Learning Centre - Year 11 are sent four times a year. Year 12 statements
are sent three times a year. Amounts for 2024 are below. Payment is in advance and is by direct debit from your
bank account or credit card, monthly, 10 times a year from February to November. Other incidental expenses are
charged each term.
The following dates for instalment statements of school fees and other charges will apply for the year 2024.

4th week October Fourth fees instalment – excursions and charges – except Year 12
All outstanding fees, excursion, extras, etc, are due and payable upon receipt of the account. Future fee levels
shall be reviewed in November each year for the first fee instalment in early February each year.
Tuition and Boarding fees must be paid via monthly direct debit or credit card charge (February to November 2024)
unless alternate arrangements have been made with the CFO.

Conditions, Notes and Payment Options


1. Fee accounts are rendered on FOUR occasions each year corresponding to the four terms EXCEPT for Year 12 which are billed in THREE
instalments. The boarding fee is also charged on the same cycle as the tuition fee.
2. School fees are to be paid via monthly direct debit or credit card charge unless alternate arrangements have been made with the Chief
Financial Officer (CFO).
3. An administration fee will be charged on outstanding amounts from the DUE DATE unless you are paying regular instalments under the
DIRECT DEBIT PLAN.
4. If fees etc. remain UNPAID at the end of term, students will not be eligible to return to School at the beginning of the next term unless
satisfactory arrangements are made in writing with the CFO to pay the account using the direct debit plan.
5. Where legal proceedings are deemed necessary to recover outstanding fees, all recovery costs incurred will be added to the total amount
outstanding.
6. Receipts will only be issued if requested.
7. All changes of name, address, and telephone number should be notified in writing to the relevant Head of School.
8. At least ONE FULL TERM’S notice of intended withdrawal of a student must be given in writing to the Principal. In the event that such notice
is not given, a full term’s fees will be payable (Fees in Lieu of Notice – FLON). The same length of notice must be given if a student wishes to
change from boarding to day status.
9. Donations to the Building Fund are deductible for Income Tax purposes. A receipt will be issued for all donations made to the Tara School
Building Fund.
10. The School pays a Student Accident insurance policy for the coverage of all students for non-Medicare related expenditure. (Conditions
apply).
11. In addition to school fees, certain subjects attract a small extra levy and extra costs are itemised on school accounts e.g.
• Food Technology, Design & Technology and Art have specific costings for purchase of goods and equipment
• Excursions are costed on the specific event
• Years 11 and 12 special sport/recreational charges
• School planner, lock, laser printing & card charged photocopying in library
• Extra subjects
• Participation in IGSA sporting teams
• Technology levy for those school years participating in the student laptop program
