MOP FOR FIRMWARE UPGRADE OF AGS20L

Pre-requisite – Availability of New Firmware version (boot and bin file)

The New firmware file sample name N33030-01 201. This folder will contain boot
and bin files

Bin file to be installed first followed by boot file

After boot file download, bench switch to be performed, this will restart the IDU

Once the IDU is accessible again, download the bin file again (this will be
downloaded to standby bench)

Step by step procedure

Select Main>Software Info & Maint.

Select Upgrade via HTTP

Choose select Files and provide the path for bin file (image files) under the directory img_xx.xx.xx.xx
(where xx is the new sys version name – for example- img_01.02.00.00)

Choose following two files (for bin download)

Choose Forced option and press Upload (the upload will take 10-15 minutes)

Boot File Download

Once the Bin files have been downloaded, Upload the boot file. Choose select files and provide the path
for the boot file. The boot file can be found under the folder boot_xx.xx.xx.xx (for example the name
could be boot_01.02.00.0a)

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE BOOT FILE SHOULD BE DOWNLOAD WITH ONLY DIFFERENT OR NOT PRESENT /
PERIPHERAL OPTION

Wait for the following warning to be cleared for completion of UPLOAD

Once upload is finished, perform a bench switch

Bench switch will lead to IDU restart, wait for the IDU to restart and access the IDU again

The above procedure downloads the New firmware to only One bench, The BIN file needs to be
downloaded again (so that the same version is present in Bank 1 and Bank 2)

SUMMARY:

1- Download bin file with forced option

2- Download boot file with only difference or not present option

3- Perform bench switch (this will restart the IDU)

4- Perform BIN file download again (boot file does not need to be downloaded second time)

FEATURE UPGRADE

Pre-requisite : Feature key need to be requested from SIAE HQ – For this the serial # of the IDU needs to
be forwarded to SIAE HQ

Availability of Ftp server (for example WLC)

The serial # of AGS20L can be found as follows

The name of feature key could be as follows: 300187_10177910600320F.sfc

Launch FTP server (WLC) -

Under Equipment Propertis press Upgrade

Specify the path for the feature key (and IP address of FTP server (laptop IP address)) and press send

After the feature key is installed successfully, check that the feature is Enabled in Equipment feature list
