Description
The NUSPM-HE Speech module is used in the Ascom
Telligence System to handle voice communications
with devices such as staff consoles, room display
modules, mobile handsets, and other devices.
This wall-mounted module consists of a white plastic
body with a perforated speaker grill. It incorporates a
printed circuit board with a Mylar cone speaker and an
electret microphone. The circuit board also contains a
class D speaker amplifier for energy efficiency. The
module also supports two-way duplex speech
communication.
The module connects to an active room bus via RJ-45
connection technology and can be daisy-chained with
other modules. The connectors carry 5.5VDC, data,
voice, and ground (0V).
The module includes a DIP switch used to decrease the
microphone’s sensitivity (6dB). DIP switches are also
included for setting the module’s room bus address.
The bus address can also be set using the Telligence
Configuration Tool.
The module uses a single-module frame for installation.
Choose a dual or triple frame model when combining
the speech module with other modules, such as a
bedside module, doorside module, or other compatible
module. Alternatively, spacers are available for surface
wall-mounting when no backbox is available.
