Context:

We are looking for an Atlassian applications support specialist to maintain and administer the portfolio
of ORG’S Atlassian applications.

ORG’S uses a large portfolio of Atlassian products, such as Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bit Bucket and
others, which are integrated in different business services and processes.
The candidate should be a certified Atlassian application administrator with experience in system
maintenance and upgrade activities, as well as the administration of Atlassian applications, specifically
Jira.

Good understanding of operating cloud-based infrastructure will be an advantage.

Objective:

The Atlassian applications support specialist will join ORG’S IT team to support the migration of ORG’S
current Atlassian application portfolio to Datacenter version, targeting AWS hosted application
infrastructure.

The candidate will assess the setup of existing Jira environments and will plan clean up and
configuration activities in order to improve the Jira administration and management practices.

The candidate will provide regular Jira/Atlassian administration and management support for ORG’S
Atlassian applications portfolio.

Tasks:

(a) Migration of ORG’S current Atlassian application portfolio to Datacenter version, hosted on AWS
infrastructure;
(b) Review and clean up of existing Jira instances to improve administration and management of
projects and users;
(c) Ongoing operational support of ORG’S Jira applications, maintenance and upgrade activities.
a. Maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and users while working in a JIRA
environment.
b. Improve JIRA security. Set access permissions for JIRA projects.
c. Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration.
d. Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams. #
e. Work with business users to evaluate JIRA plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and
perform testing, installation and configuration of the plug-ins
f. Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for
complex and high impact projects
g. Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support
runbooks
h. Create JIRA projects, queries and reports as required
i. Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and
scheduled jobs.
