Hooray for Crazy Kids’ Caps!
Kids will love these amusing themed crochet caps. Designer Michele
Wilcox created them with her own grandchildren in mind.

For little girlie girls, choose the Strawberry Sundae, Busy Bee or Smiley
Lady Bug. For handsome little boys there is the Frog Prince.

There are plenty of options to please any gender. The Wise Owl is a real
hoot! Happy Puppy and Pussy Cat will enjoy chasing each other. Busy
Bee and Friendly Fish are colorful favorites. Bumpkin Pumpkin and Rudie
Reindeer are great for holiday seasons. And the All-American Kid is always
in fashion.

Besides being practical, our Crazy Kids’ Caps are perfect for imaginative
creative play. We’ve made them in sizes to fit 4 to 6 year olds.

RED HEART® “Super Saver®”: Art. E300

Solids: 100% Acrylic; 7 ounces (198 g); approximately 364 yards (333 m)
Prints & Multis: 100% Acrylic; 5 ounces (141 g); approximately 244 yards (223 m)
Flecks: 96% Acrylic/4% Other Fibers; 5 ounces (141 g); approximately 260 yards
(238 m)

Tips for Washing “Super Saver®”: Use a gentle fabric detergent in warm water.
Include less than half the suggested amount of liquid fabric softener, as too much
softener will cause fiber to stretch. You can place item in a mesh bag or pillow
case to protect it during the spin cycle. Tumble dry on low and remove from dryer
before completely dry. To keep fringe or pompoms looking their best, handwash;
lay flat to dry.

The projects in this book were created with RED HEART® yarns. For best results,
we recommend following the pattern exactly as written. All instructions have been
checked for accuracy; however, Coats & Clark is not responsible for typographical
errors, differences in individual interpretation or other variances in work.

gauge
Gauge refers to the number of stitches and rows in a given area. When
following a pattern for a garment or other article, the instructions will
include a specified gauge. If you do not crochet fabric with the same
number of stitches and rows as indicated, your work will not come to the
measurements given and you may run out of yarn.

To ensure that you achieve the correct gauge, work a sample or swatch
before starting to crochet the actual project. The hook size stated in the
pattern is a suggested hook size only. You should use whichever hook gives
you the correct gauge.
