1) A Counterpart Approach to Attendance and Feedback System using

Machine Learning Techniques

AUTHORS: N.Sudhakar Reddy, M.V.Sumanth, S.Suresh Babu

Education is one of the wisest aspect that is required to everyone in this country .In
this regard as technology widens its width and length especially the paper work is
replaced with the technology. As machine learning is one of the domains that deals
with the both aspects we need a system that coordinate with the technology which
reduces the human effort .Here in this paper we have mentioned an idea that
combines two technologies with machine learning approaches.
2) Classroom Attendance Auto-management Based on Deep Learning

AUTHORS: Dan Wang, Rong Fu, Zuying Luo

Attendance is an important part of daily classroom evaluation. This paper develops

an automatic attendance system by integrating two deep learning algorithm Faster
R-CNN face detection algorithm and SeetaFace face recognition algorithm. The
results of numerous experiments indict that: (1) the system can record such five
violations of classroom, that is absence, later arrival, early departure, free access,
and carelessness for attendance, and give the attendance table which can reflect the
learning situation of all students after school. (2) For small classrooms with length
of less than 6 meters, 1080P classroom monitoring video can meet the needs of
classroom attendance; but for 9 meters of big classrooms, you should use 4K
classroom surveillance video.
3) Automated Attendance System Using Face Recognition

AUTHORS: Akshara Jadhav, Akshay Jadhav, Tushar Ladhe, Krishna Yeolekar

In the recent time automated face recognition has become a trend and has been
developed very much , this is mainly due to two reasons; first it is due to
availability of modern technologies and second is due to the ability to save time
using face recognition in the process of taking attendance of students. Its usage
will grow vast in the future as it saves a lot of time. It consumes a lot of time to
take attendance manually and few might also fake the attendance, in order to
prevent time consumption and avoid faking the attendance face recognition is used
to identify the person present in the class and mark his attendance , this is done
with the help of image or video frame. We proposed an automatic attendance
management system using machine learning techniques such as CNN algorithm.
The face detection and recognition will automatically detect the students in the
classroom and mark the attendance by recognizing the person.. The faculty has
access to add the student details such as name, USN, phone number, email-id.
Then the image is captured through a high definition camera during the class
hours. When the lecturing is going on faces of students are detected, segmented
and stored for verification with database using the Convolutional Neural Networks
(CNN) algorithm of machine learning technique
4) A smart technique for attendance system to recognize faces through
parallelism

AUTHORS: B Prabhavathi, V Tanuja, V Madhu Viswanatham and M

Rajashekhara Babu

Major part of recognising a person is face with the help of image processing
techniques we can exploit the physical features of a person. In the old approach
method that is used in schools and colleges it is there that the professor calls the
student name and then the attendance for the students marked. Here in paper want
to deviate from the old approach and go with the new approach by using
techniques that are there in image processing. In this paper we presenting
spontaneous presence for students in classroom. At first classroom image has been
in use and after that image is kept in data record. For the images that are stored in
the database we apply system algorithm which includes steps such as, histogram
classification, noise removal, face detection and face recognition methods. So by
using these steps we detect the faces and then compare it with the database. The
attendance gets marked automatically if the system recognizes the faces.
5) Student Attendance System Using Iris Detection

AUTHORS: Prajakta Lad, Sonali More, Simran Parkhe, Priyanka Nikam, Dipalee
Chaudhari

Iris recognition is regarded as the most reliable and accurate biometric

identification system available. Most commercial iris recognition systems use
patented algorithms developed by Daugman, and these algorithms are able to
produce perfect recognition rates. However, published results have usually been
produced under favourable conditions, and there have been no independent trials of
the technology. The iris recognition system consists of an automatic segmentation
system that is based on the Hough transform, and is able to localise the circular iris
and pupil region, occluding eyelids and eyelashes, and reflections. The extracted
iris region was then normalised into a rectangular block with constant dimensions
to account for imaging inconsistencies. Finally, the phase data from 1D Log-Gabor
filters was extracted and quantised to four levels to encode the unique pattern of
the iris into a bit-wise biometric template.
