Slides 4-48 Chapter Opener : Picture Reading
 Ask some questions to talk about the Chapter Opener picture.
 Have Ss open their books to pages 56-57 and check the title.
 Ask Ss to look at the picture and check the correct answer.
 Reveal the answer.
 Introduce Unit 7.

About the Country


 Talk about Egypt by using the questions and information on PPT slide 10.
 Read the unit title and watch a video related to the topic.

Picture Reading
 Have Ss open their books to page 58.
 Ask some questions to talk about the picture(s).
 Have Ss look at the picture and choose true or false.
 Check the answers together.
Main Lesson

New Words
 Have Ss open their books to page 59.
 Play the audio (TR 15). Have Ss listen to the audio and write the words.
 Word Practice:
 Ask Ss to look at the pictures and say the words, paying attention to the stress.
Then have Ss listen to the audio and check the answers.
 Have Ss read the definitions and write the numbers.
 Check the answers together.
 Word Quiz: Have Ss read the definitions at the top of PPT slides and choose the
correct pictures.

Sentences
 Have Ss choose and write the correct words to complete the sentences.
 Grammar Practice:
 Have Ss look at the PPT slide 37 and introduce the past continuous. Then have Ss
match the singular and plural subjects to the correct form of the past continuous.

Learn to Dive
 Play the audio (TR 16). Have Ss listen to the audio and guess the main topic.
 Have Ss read the definitions. Refer to the line numbers to find and circle the
words in the text.
 Check the answers together.
 Ask Ss to read the text on their own and answer the questions.
 Timed Reading: Have Ss read the text as fast as they can for 30 seconds. Give
them 2 more opportunities to read faster.
 Reading Challenge: Ask Ss to read the text with some missing words. Then check
the answers together.
 About You: Ask Ss to answer. Have them talk about their answers.

Reading Comprehension
 Have Ss open their books to pages 62-63.
