DB2 Migration from V11.1 to 11.

1- Stop all application connected to database ,then terminate and stop Db2
Open start menu  press on “IBM DB2 DB2COPY1 (DEFAULT)”  press on
“DB2 Command Window- Administrator”
db2 force application all
db2 terminate
db2stop
2- Go to path of db2 v11.5 and start “Setup file” as “administrator”
3- Select “install product“
4- Choose “working with existing” under title “DB2 Version 11.5.0.0 Server
Editions”
5- Select DB2 old version and press “launch DB2 setup wizard”, then press
“ok”
6- Press “next”
7- “Accept license” and click “next

8- In installation type select “custom” and click “Next”


9- Keep everything on default and click “Next”
10 - press “yes”

11 – press ” Next ”
12 – keep everything on default and click “Next”

13 – click “Next”

14 – select “on the IBM Web size”


15- enter “username & password “of existing user

16 – check “Enable operating system security” and click “Next”


17- click “finish”
18 – to check DB2 version : Open start menu  press on “IBM DB2 DB2COPY1
(DEFAULT)”  press on“DB2 Command Window- Administrator”
write command db2start
then write command db2level

18 - write following command with all databases to upgrade them:


db2 upgrade database “database name” user “username” using “password”

19 – now you can connect to database by using following command:


db2 connect to “database name”
