i. In the given figure, line AB meets y-axis at point A. Line through


C(2,10) and D intersects line AB at right angle at P. Find

c) co-ordinates of points E and D.

ii. From a solid cylinder of height 30 cm and radius 7 cm, a conical cavity of height 24 cm and of
base radius 7 cm is drilled out. Find the volume and the total surface area of the remaining solid.

iii. Use a graph paper to answer the following questions. Take 2 cm = 2 unit on both the axes.
a) Plot 𝐴(4, 4), 𝐵(4, −6) 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶(8, 0), the vertices of a ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶.
b) Reflect 𝐴𝐵𝐶 on the y-axis and name it as A’B’C’.
c) Write the coordinates of the images 𝐴’, 𝐵’𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶’.
d) Give a geometric name to the figure 𝐴𝐴’𝐶’𝐵’𝐵𝐶.

ii. A train travels a distance of 300 km at a constant speed. If the speed of the train is increased by
5 km an hour, the journey would have taken 2 hours less. Find the speed of the train. [3]

i. In the adjoining figure, ABCD is a trapezium in which AB ∥ DC and the


diagonals AC and BD intersect at O. Prove that:

b) If OA = (2𝑥 + 1) cm, OB = (5𝑥 – 3) cm, OC = (6𝑥 − 5) cm and OD
= (3𝑥 − 1) cm, find the value of 𝑥. [3]

i. A hollow sphere of internal and external radii 6 cm and 8 cm respectively is melted and recasted
into small cones of base radius 2 cm and height 8 cm. Find the number of cones formed. [3]

iii. A man on the roof of a house, observes the angle of elevation of the building as 42° and the

i. Rishi has a cumulative time deposit account in Bank of Baroda. He deposits ₹ 200 per month for
a period of 3 years. If at the time of maturity, he gets ₹8088, find the rate of interest. [3]

ii. Using ruler and compass construct a triangle 𝐴𝐵𝐶 in which 𝐴𝐵 = 7 cm, ∠𝐶𝐴𝐵 = 60° and
𝐴𝐶 = 5 cm. Construct the locus of:
a) Points equidistant from 𝐴𝐵 and 𝐴𝐶.
b) Points equidistant from 𝐵𝐴 and 𝐵𝐶.

Hence, construct a circle touching the three sides of the triangle internally. [3]

ii. A sum of ₹ 700 is to be used to give cash prizes to students of a school for their overall academic
performance. If each prize is ₹ 20 less than its preceding prize, find the value of each of the
prizes. [3]

iii. Draw the ogive for the following distribution:
