ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

creativity, and technological excellence. Set to take place on the 7th and 8th of
February 2025, this dynamic event brings together visionary thinkers, aspiring
innovators, and passionate tech enthusiasts under one roof. With a diverse array of
competitions, workshops, and discussions, Techन ा offers a platform for students to
unleash their potential, share groundbreaking ideas, and tackle real-world challenges.
The fest is designed to organise electrifying events like Quantathon, Innovative Arena,
Data Dash, and Marketing Morph, to signature competitions such as E-Kurukshetra,
GLAU Shark Tank, and Pentest Showdown. The fest also features exciting activities like
RC Racing, RoboWar, Line Tracing, Poster Competition, Rising Fighters, and Treasure
Hunt. Creative challenges like WebX Design, Proj-E-X, TechWalk, and attend insightful

Technical Fest 2025, a grand celebration of innovation, creativity, and
technological excellence. Scheduled for the 7th and 8th of February 2025,
this exciting event will bring together visionary thinkers, aspiring
innovators, and passionate tech enthusiasts on a vibrant platform.

With a diverse range of competitions, workshops, and discussions, Techन ा


is designed to empower students to showcase their talents, exchange
groundbreaking ideas, and solve real-world challenges. The fest features an
impressive lineup of electrifying events, including Quantathon, Innovative
Arena, Data Dash, and Marketing Morph, alongside signature competitions
such as E-Kurukshetra, GLAU Shark Tank, and Pentest Showdown.

Adding to the thrill are activities like RC Racing, RoboWar, Line Tracing,

Guidelines / Rules & Regulations

• Team Size: 3 to 6 participants.


• Projects should demonstrate innovation and focus on hardware
development, software development, or a combination of both
• Participants are required to provide a concise explanation of their
project along with a live demonstration during the exhibition.
• All projects must comply with safety protocols and ethical
standards.
• Each team will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present their
project to the jury.
• Teams must stay at their exhibit throughout the event to engage
with the audience and respond to queries from the jury.

collaboration, and real-world problem-solving, making it an exciting
opportunity for students to turn ideas into impactful ventures.
Guidelines / Rules & Regulations

• Team Size: 2 to 5 participants.


• Start-up ideas are welcome from various industry domains, including
technology, healthcare, education, and sustainability. Ideas must
emphasize innovation, feasibility, and market potential. Only original ideas
will be accepted; plagiarized concepts or previously funded ventures are
not allowed.
• Teams must submit a concise summary of their business idea (maximum
200 words) for approval before the event. Teams are encouraged to include
slides, charts, or prototypes to enhance their presentations. Each team will
have 15 minutes to pitch their idea, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session
with the judges (total: 20 minutes).
• All supporting materials must be submitted to the organizers at least 15
minutes before the pitch session starts. Digital submissions must be in PDF
or PowerPoint format.
• The presentation must address the following: Problem Statement, Business
Solution/Idea, Revenue Model, Market Analysis, Financial Projections,
Growth Plan.

• Drones must be wirelessly operated using a standard transmitter-
receiver system.
• Only battery-powered drones are permitted; fuel-based engines or
motors are prohibited.
• The event will follow a timed knockout format, where participants
navigate the maze individually, racing against the clock.
• Teams that successfully complete the qualifying round will proceed to
subsequent rounds.
• Drones will be disqualified if they fail to complete the lap, deviate from
the course, or remain stationary for more than one minute.
• Each team is allowed to use only one drone.
• All team members must be present during the competition.

• Robot Weight Limit: Maximum allowable Robot weight is 5 kg.
• Robots must strictly adhere to the prescribed weight and size
limits.
• Robots can be either wireless or wired and must be powered
by batteries.
• The use of flame throwers, explosives, or any hazardous
materials is strictly forbidden.
• Matches will follow a knockout format.
• Each match will last up to 15 minutes.
• Points will be awarded for successful hits, flips, and effective
defense strategies.
• A robot will be considered defeated if it remains immobile for
more than 2 minutes.
• Only one robot is allowed per team.

is an electrifying competition where machines race to follow intricate paths,
showcasing innovation, speed, and control. Compete to build the fastest,
most accurate line-tracing robot in a thrilling test of engineering excellence!

Guidelines / Rules & Regulations

• Team Size: 1-2 participants.


• Participants must design an autonomous robot capable of following a
black line on a white surface.
• The robot must fit within a maximum size of 25 cm x 25 cm x 25 cm (size
should not be excessively large).
• No weight restrictions apply.
• Only autonomous robots are permitted; remote-controlled robots are
not allowed.
• Allowed components include IR sensors, microcontrollers, DC motors,
motor drivers, and batteries (maximum voltage of 12V).
• The track features a black line (2-3 cm wide) on a white background, with
curves, sharp turns, intersections, and obstacles that introduce varying
line gaps.
• Robots must function independently using onboard sensors and pre-
programmed logic.
• IR sensors for line detection, microcontrollers for control, and DC motors
for movement are the permitted components.
• Manual control can be provided only up to 2 times in a round.

• The last clue will lead teams to the contest venue.
• Participants must follow the clues in order, without skipping any.
• The use of external assistance (e.g., asking non-participants for
answers) is strictly prohibited.
• A time limit will be set to complete the treasure hunt.
• Each team is allowed to register only once.
• Teams must collaborate to solve the riddles. While splitting up is
allowed, it is not recommended.
• Participants must ensure the safety of the venue while searching
for clues.

• Teams will have a fixed duration to develop their web application.
• The user interface (UI) should be clean, responsive, and accessible.
• Teams should focus on providing an optimal user experience (UX).
• The web application must be fully functional and deployable within the

Event Overview
TechWalk is a two-round competition in which participants first walk the
runway to display their creativity and fashion-forward style. The second round
will feature a Q&A session with industry experts from tech, fashion, and
showbiz, during which the top participants will showcase not only their style
but also their tech knowledge.
Guidelines / Rules & Regulations
Brownie Points:
• Want to stand out even more? Add tech-inspired makeup or accessories,
such as glowing, sparkling, or shining elements, to earn extra points!
TechWalk Participation Details and Rewards:
Registration: Individual participation only
Eligibility: Open to all students from GLA University and from outside GLA
University.
Dress Code:
• Dresses should be knee-length or longer and avoid deep necklines for
girls.
• Boys should be well-groomed and presentable.
Code of Conduct:
• Participants must behave in a disciplined manner throughout the event.
• Any form of misconduct, unethical behavior, or violation of the rules will
lead to immediate disqualification.
Prizes & Recognition:
Winner Awards: The top participants will claim the title of ‘Tech Diva’ or
‘Tech Dapper’ (Winner and Runners-up).
Certificates: Every participant will receive a certificate of participation to
celebrate their effort.

Discussion

Event Overview

A panel discussion is a structured event where a group of experts or


knowledgeable individuals discuss a specific topic in front of an audience. It
is designed to share insights, encourage debate, and provide diverse
perspectives on the subject matter.

Guidelines / Rules & Regulations

• A group of 4–6 individuals with expertise in the topic forms the panel.
• A moderator facilitates the discussion by introducing the topic and
panelists.
• Guiding the conversation to ensure it stays relevant and engaging.
• Managing time and audience interactions.
• The audience listens to the discussion and is typically given an
opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A segment.
• Duration of a panel discussion is usually lasts 60–90 minutes, divided
into introduction panelist discussion, Q&A session with the audience
• Informal and conversational, encouraging dialogue among panelists.
• Engages the audience through live questions or interactive tools.able

• Teams must present their web application to the judges.
