PERFORMANCE TASK
Dear Women,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and happiness. We are writing to provide you
with some important information about menstruation and the reproductive system.
As you reach puberty, your body will undergo many changes as it prepares for adulthood.
One of the most significant changes is the onset of menstruation, which usually begins
between the ages of 10-15 years. Menstruation involves the shedding of the lining of the
uterus, which occurs every month if pregnancy does not occur.
Apart from menstruation, it is crucial to understand how your reproductive system works.
The female reproductive system comprises ovaries that produce eggs, fallopian tubes that
transport eggs to the uterus where they may become fertilized by sperm, and cervix that
connects the vagina to the uterus.
It is important to practice safe sex by using contraception methods such as condoms or birth
control pills to prevent unintended pregnancies or sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
In conclusion, understanding your menstrual cycle and reproductive system is crucial for
maintaining good health and well-being. If you have any questions or concerns regarding
these topics, do not hesitate to seek help from a trusted healthcare provider.
Take care,
Jean Cahoy
