General Information

This purpose of this Operation Manual is to illustrate the specific sequence and method for
installation of the KUBIK Office partition System. It is assumed that the fitting teams carrying
out the installation have the necessary skills to set out, operate the tools required and install
the system to the required standard.

It is further assumed that good practice for installing factory - finished liner track sections
will be followed at all times.
Pre Requisites

Supervisor’s Visit :-
Before commencing any work on site the supervisor visits the site where the partition system is to be
installed in order to check for any kind of uneven floor or uneven gypsum work also he verifies the
drawing with the actual site and approves the drawing in order to start the installation work.

Site Preparation :-
Ensure that all abutment are levelled and painted. The ceiling must be capable of supporting
the weight of the head track and receiving its fixing. With a plasterboard ceiling it is must to
insert the plywood of 18 to 25mm in order to receive the fixing for the top track. Also plywood
must be fixed to the plasterboard so that it does not move in case of encentric load or line load.

Floor to Ceiling Levelling :-
In order to make sure that all the partition are perfectly vertical the ceiling gypsum must be in line with
the floor line. To ensure this use the BOSCH three Plane LASER guide to check the levelling in all three
planes.
Installation Sequence
The following is the installation sequence based on a standard installation having no
provision for variable requirements of the client.

Section Cutting
The ordered aluminium profile are cut into suitable sizes at warehouse in order to reduce the
extra work on site and unnecessary material handling at site.

Packaging
After cutting all the required profiles, the profiles are packed into bundles using four layers
of protections i.e.

Protective Tape
All the profiles are taped with the
protective KUBIK tape in order to
reduce possibility of any kind of
potential damage (Scratches) to the
section.
Shrink Wrap
After taping, the bundle
is shrink wrapped to
provide extra layer of
safety and ease in handling.

Corrugated Wrap
The individual bundles are
wrapped again in corrugated
sheet in order to avoid any
damage to profiles during
transport.

Plastic Jute Wrap

The final layer is of
plastic jute which
provides extra protection
and reduces potential
water damage.
