PID has QA role in Saudi Aramco projects. What does it mean to assure
that contractor has effective quality management system in place and to
assure the compliance with Company MSAERs, This may achieved through
attending RFIs, through surveillances and through focus assessments as
outlined in SAEP-1150 and in some of the work instruction under PID
responsibilities. Quality control is somehow is the responsibility of the
contractor QC personnel.

RC-70 50 to 80°C.
RC- 250
Distributor at a maximum rate of 0.25 liters per square meter
The base and sub-base are compacted to not less than 100% and 95% of the
maximum dry density.
Testing shall be conducted at a rate of one test every 180 m² of base or sub-
base.
Temperature with hot mix asphalt 139 to 163
Temperature with sulfur mix asphalt 130 to 140
96% of the Marshall density per ASTM D 6926.
The mixing temperature for the binder shall be 170 +5°C. There are no
other precautions needed for preparing mixes with the modified asphalt.
The tack coat shall be applied by means of bitumen distributor at a
maximum rate of 0.25 liters per square meter.
The prime coat shall consist of MC-70 or MC-250 as per SAES-Q-006/MOT
