36. A sports man started running from “O” in the circular field with radius 1 km. After completing his
circular path 15 times, he wants to take rest for 10 minutes at the Centre of the field. He is interested to
meet his coach, who isstanding on thecircumference of the circular field at C, making an angle x degree
with positive direction of x-axis.After taking rest he covered the shortest path to meet the coach.

Based on the above information, answer the following Questions:

(i) The position of the coach with respect to the point.

(ii) Find the coordinates of the image of C in the 4th quadrant.

(iii) Find the maximum length of sum of AB and BC from the given information.

OR

If the length of (AB+BC) is minimum, then find the angle x in the figure.

37. A person is entitled to a life time monthly payment, which in each month is less by one – tenth than it
was a month‟s before. He receives ₹ 5000 in the first month.

Based on the above information, answer the following Questions:

(i) If the successive terms form a G.P, then find the first term and the common ratio of the G.P.

(ii) Find the amount received in the 3rd month.

(iii) Find the sum of the amounts received in a year.

OR

Find the sum to infinite terms of a G.P.

38. An urn contains twenty white slips of paper numbered from 1 to 20, ten red slips of paper numbered
from 1 to 10, forty yellow slips of paper numbered from 1 to 40 and ten blue slips of paper numbered
from 1 to 10. These 80 slips of paper are thoroughly shuffled so that each has the same probability of
being drawn.

Based on the above information, answer the following Questions:

(i) Find the probability of drawing a slip red or yellow and numbered 1, 2, 3 or 4.

(ii) Find the probability of drawing a slip numbered 5, 15, 25 or 35.
