ANSWER
1. Complete the following tasks:
 Describe the difference between digits, numbers, and figures.
Digits are individual symbols (0-9) that are used to create numbers. while
Numbers are mathematical values that represent numbers or amounts. and
Images are written or visual representations of numbers in any symbolic form.
 Give the example for the using of digits, numbers, and figures in our daily life
a. Digits in Daily Life: Phone numbers also rely on digits. For example, a phone
number might be 0812-4355-6798, where 1, 2, 3, etc., are individual digits that
make up the entire phone number.
b. Numbers in Daily Life: Room numbers in a hotel or office building often use
numbers. For example, Room 305 or Apartment 27A are examples of numbers
that help with organization and navigation.
c. Figures in Daily Life: On a calculator or digital display, you might see figures like
7, 12, or 3.14, which are representations of the actual numbers you are using in
mathematical calculations.

2. Answer the following questions:

1) Operation of 56 x 71 is called Multiplication
2) We read 31 x 7 : 5 as Thirty-one multiplied by seven divided by five
3) The quotient of sixty-four divided by eight is Eight (64 ÷ 8 = 8)
4) One hundred Divided ten equals ten. (100 ÷ 10 = 10)
5) Write down the expression of figures of 15 x 5 : 10. (15 × 5 ÷ 10)

3. Explain the definition and makes the example of :

1) Line a one-dimensional figure that extends infinitely in both directions. It has no
thickness or curvature, only length, and is defined by two points. A line is straight
and has no endpoints. Example : A line can be represented by the equation y = 2x
+ 3 in a coordinate plane, where it extends infinitely in both the positive and
negative directions along the x- and y-axes.
2) Angle is formed when two rays (or lines) meet at a common endpoint, called the
vertex. Example : A right angle is an angle that measures 90°, like the corner of a
square or rectangle.
3) Two dimensional (2D) shape is a flat shape that only has two dimensions: length
and width. It exists in a plane and does not have depth. Examples of 2D shapes
include circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, and polygons.
4) Three dimensional (3D) shape has three dimensions: length, width, and height
(or depth). These shapes have volume, and their surfaces are called faces. 3D
shapes include cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, and pyramids.
5) Graph is a visual representation of data, relationships, or mathematical functions.
Values refer to the numerical quantities represented by points on the graph.
Example : A circular graph divided into slices to show proportions of a whole. For
example, a pie chart could show the distribution of a company's market share
among different products.

4. Explain the difference between linear movement and rotary movement? Give the
example from the things around you!
 Linear movement refers to motion along a straight path. In this type of
movement, an object moves in a straight line, with its position changing
continuously along that line. While Rotary movement occurs when an object
moves around a central point or axis. Instead of traveling in a straight line, the
object rotates around a fixed point, completing a circular or angular motion.
Example :
a. Buses or cars moving along roads follow a straight path.
b. A blender, The blades rotate in a circle to mix ingredients.
