PAC2-40 20-40KA 275V

一．Scope of application:
The PAC2-40 AC series surge protection device (hereinafter referred to as SPD) is
suitable for AC 50/60Hz, rated voltage up to 380V power supply system (or
communication system), to protect the indirect and direct lightning and direct lightning
impact or other instantaneous over voltage surge.
SPD conforms to GB18802.1-2002/1EC61643-1:1998 and GB50057-2000 "Lightning
Protection Design Code for Buildings".
SPD has relative phase, relative ground, relative center line, center line to ground and
other protection modes.
SPD is suitable for residential, tertiary and industrial areas of surge protection
requirements.

三．Features:
3. 1 SPD is a port.Under normal conditions, the SPD is in a high resistance
state.When grid lines are affected by indirect and direct lightning or other
instantaneous overvoltage, the SPD achieves low resistance conduction in
nanoseconds, releasing transient energy to the ground while limiting overvoltage to a
certain protective level.When the transient over voltage disappears, the SPD returns
to the high resistance state.Thus does not affect the normal operation of the power
grid.
3.2 SPD is a general base (gray) plus protection module (gray) or ground zero
protection module (blue, ground zero protection module has built-in gas discharge
tube or graphite gap), which can be conveniently combined into 1P, 2P, 3P, 4P, 1P+N,
2P+N, 3P+N.The protection module is plug - in type and can be replaced.
3.3 SPD built-in disconnector.When the SPD fails or fails, the disconnector will
permanently disconnect the SPD from the power system, and the indicator window
will display the action indicator from green to red.Green indicates normal working
condition and red indicates failure.At this time the protection module must be
replaced immediately, without power failure can be quickly replaced.
3.4 SPD has the characteristics of small volume, modular, strong performance, safe
and reliable operation, quick and convenient installation, etc.

四．Use, installation and maintenance:


4.1 Regular service condition
Voltage: the voltage continuously applied between SPD terminals does not exceed
the maximum continuous operating voltage Uc.
Elevation: Altitudes should not exceed 2000m.
Temperature of ambient air: normal range -5℃~+40℃, limit range -40℃~ + 70℃.
Relative humidity: should be between 30% and 90% at room temperature.
4.2 installation
4.2.1 SPD is installed with 35mm standard guide rail, and the product is installed in
the distribution box, distribution cabinet or box.
4.2.2 The installation place shall have no obvious impact and vibration.
4.2.3 SPD is connected by copper wire, and its load area is: flexible wire 2.5 ~
16mm2;Hard wire 2.5 ~ 25mm2.The connecting line should be as short as possible,
and the total length should be less than 0.5m.The neutral wire uses light blue
wire;Green and yellow (double-color) wires are adopted for the grounding wire, and
the cross-sectional area is 4mm2.
4.2.4 Each pole of SPD must be protected, and current protection can be carried out
by mini-circuit breaker.The breaking capacity of a mini-circuit breaker must be greater
than the short circuit current at that point.Fuses are also available.

4.3 maintenance
When SPD is running, it is necessary to check the working state displayed in the
indicator window of the protection module regularly. Green indicates normal working
state, and red indicates failure. The protection module should be replaced
immediately.
