Task-1

Identify the various tools in macromedia flash


Aim: Practice Operations in macromedia flash
Equipment Required: A personal computer with OS (operating system) & macromedia flash
installed.
Procedure: Click Start → All Programs → Macromedia → Macromedia Flash 8 (Windows)

There are four main parts of the Tools panel: tools area, view area, colors area, and options
area. Each section contains buttons that do a task, but the buttons themselves are not labeled.
However, if you hover over the tools with the mouse, a tooltip appears that tells you the
name of the tool. A button can also have a menu attached to it. If so, there is a small black
arrow at the lower right of the button. Click and hold the button to display the menu.

The tools in the Tools panel are used for creating, selecting, and manipulating graphics. They are
also used for changing the view on the Stage, or the position of the Stage and its contents in the
document window. Some tools have additional options, which display in the options area of the
Tools panel when the tool is selected.

When you select a tool in the Tools panel, the contents of the Property inspector will change to
reflect what the tool is being used to do. For instance, if you select the Text tool, the Property
inspector switches to display the text properties you can edit, such as text type, font, and
justification. When you have a drawing tool selected, stroke and fill options show on the
Property inspector.
TASK-2
PROCEDURE TO CHANGE A CIRCLE INTO A SQURE USING FLASH

Aim: Practice Operations in macromedia flash


Equipment Required: A personal computer with OS(operating system)& macromedia flash
installed.
Procedure:
1. Go to start->macromedia->flash document

2. Select the circle tool from the tool bar. draw a circle on the work area.colour it

3. Click on the 40th key frame-> insert new key frame.

4. Selecting the last key frame->draw a rectangle on the circle by selecting the rectangle tool bar so

that it will cover the circle. colour the rectangle by the different colour.

5. Again click on the last frame->under properties->under tween->change the option shape from

none.

6. Then again select the last but one frame->go to properties->tween->change to shape.

7. Go to control->test movie->see the circle changing in to rectangle.

OUTPUT
TASK-3
Create a text on one layer ,format the text with suitable size,color,and style. With the
help of another layer,position a spotlight on the text and move the spotlight

Equipment Required: A personal computer with OS(operating system)& macromedia flash
installed.
Procedure:
1. Go to start->macromedia->flash document
2. Here you can select text tool from the tool bar

1. Now you can take text box from text tool, in the text box you have to type some text and
apply color and text style.
2. Click on the 45th key frame-> insert new key frame. In the layer 1

After insert new key frame next you to create layer 2

After insert layer 2 now select circle tool from tool bar and draw the circle before of the text

Next select the selection tool from tool bar and click on circle after click on circle , right click on circle
when your left click on circle here shows some options in the options you have to select convert to
symbol option(figure-1),when your click on convert to symbol option here display one window box and
you can choose move to clip and click on ok button(figure -2)

Now you can go to properties in the bottom of the window select color section in the section select
“alpha” and select alpha amount 80%
Now you have to right click on frame 45 and select insert key frame, after select the insert key frame
now you can select circle with the help of mouse and move to end of the text

After move to circle end of the text, move to object between 40 to 45 frame and in the action tool bar
(bottom of the window) choose tween option in the tween option select “motion”.

Out put: now press enter button in the key board , now can see spotlight move from left to right on the
text .

Note: if you want to open out put in new window press “cntl+enter” in keyboard.
