Revolut 220125

Ilkka Rehn reported an issue with a payment sent to a wallet address that is not his, leading to confusion and accusations of money laundering. Revolut support advised him to verify his identity and provided guidance on how to prove the transaction's legitimacy, suggesting he share transaction details and screenshots. Hi Ilkka, how can I help?

22-01-2025 | 09:16:09 Ilkka Rehn

I sent a payment but it was received from a wallet address
which is not mine.

I understand the situation. I see the funds has been sent
from your side to the selected address. Could you please
check with the receiver if they have received the funds?

22-01-2025 | 09:37:41 Ilkka Rehn

I've ask many times. But as they are searcing only by hash
ID, they see only the false one. And accuse me for money
laundering.

22-01-2025 | 09:40:08 Ilkka Rehn

It is so difficult for me to find out/proof what has happened.
Don't have tools or resources to do that
22-01-2025 | 09:41:43 Ilkka Rehn
Perhaps you can contact the receiver. support@bexxts.com

22-01-2025 | 09:46:25 Monica

I understand how frustrating this situation must be for you.
Since the transaction was completed, the funds were sent to
the address you provided. Unfortunately, once a transaction
is completed, it cannot be reversed. I recommend double-
checking the wallet address and ensuring it's correct. For
further assistance, you might need to consult with the wallet
provider. You can check the details on transaction of the
wallet address

22-01-2025 | 09:49:46 Ilkka Rehn

The receiver's wallet is ok.

22-01-2025 | 09:49:54 Ilkka Rehn

22-01-2025 | 09:50:52 Ilkka Rehn

But here it is from wallet which is not mine as you can see.
22-01-2025 | 09:59:43 Ilkka Rehn
Above mentioned transaction has exactly the same hash ID
as in my payment. Mine disappeared and Bexxts received
only that one. ☝️

22-01-2025 | 10:02:58 Monica

I understand the confusion. The withdrawal was made from

your Revolut address to this Address Funds are visible as the
IN transaction, please check yourself. You can also check the
wallet history directly. If you need further guidance, please
reach the crypto service responsible for your external wallet.
I can confirm we sent the funds correctly and they were
received.

22-01-2025 | 10:05:55 Ilkka Rehn

Can you send me that confirmation, or will you send it
straight to Bexxts?

22-01-2025 | 10:10:16 Ilkka Rehn

My account was also limited to 100. For how long?

22-01-2025 | 10:45:39 Sia

Thanks for your patience here.

22-01-2025 | 10:46:19 Sia

Unfortunately, I can't send a confirmation directly to Bexxts.

22-01-2025 | 10:46:20 Ilkka Rehn

No problem.

22-01-2025 | 10:46:29 Sia

You can share the transaction details with them to help
resolve the issue. As for your account limit, it should be
temporary. Please check your app for any updates on the
limit.
22-01-2025 | 10:48:14 Ilkka Rehn
Send the confirmation to my e-mail. I'll pass it forward.
Thank you.

22-01-2025 | 11:00:31 Sia

Please, give me some time to look check this further for you

22-01-2025 | 11:02:04 Ilkka Rehn

No hurry. 😉
22-01-2025 | 11:48:10 Dom
Thanks for your patience while we worked to review your
case. I see the issue is regarding Crypto. Don't worry, I can
help you resolve this.

22-01-2025 | 11:48:52 Dom

Additionally, I understand this situation is inconvenient for

you. Please rest assured that we’re committed to helping
you promptly.

22-01-2025 | 11:51:24 Ilkka Rehn

Thank you.

22-01-2025 | 11:52:57 Ilkka Rehn

In advance.

22-01-2025 | 12:00:58 Dom

I have checked the details for you. I would like to let you
know that you can download the statement directly from the
app you can follow this: Crypto’ → 3 dots/More > Documents
> Account statement.

22-01-2025 | 12:05:44 Ilkka Rehn

But I should somehow proof the receiver that I have made
the payment on th 19th of January succesfully and they have
receive it. How do I do that?
22-01-2025 | 12:06:25 Ilkka Rehn
That account statement doesn't tell anything to them.

22-01-2025 | 12:06:50 Dom

I understand. You can provide the recipient with the
transaction hash and details from the blockchain. This will
show the transaction was completed. You can also take a
screenshot of the transaction details from your Revolut app
and share it with them.

22-01-2025 | 12:10:11 Ilkka Rehn

That is the main problem. The same hash ID is in two
different transactions. The one I made and on another
which is not mine. The receiver sees only the false one and
they accuse me for money laundering.

22-01-2025 | 12:10:27 Ilkka Rehn

22-01-2025 | 12:11:38 Ilkka Rehn

See the hash and wallet. Wallet is not mine. And the hash ID
is exactly the same as in my payment.
22-01-2025 | 12:13:05 Ilkka Rehn
My original payment dissapeared mystically and the receiver
sees only the fraud.

22-01-2025 | 12:16:42 Ilkka Rehn

How can I prove them that my payment left from my wallet

and they recieved it? And also, I have nothing to do with that
other transaction.

22-01-2025 | 12:17:08 Dom

I understand the complexity here. You can provide the
recipient with a screenshot of your transaction details from
the Revolut app, showing the date, amount, and wallet
address. This will help demonstrate that your transaction
was separate from the other one.

22-01-2025 | 12:20:35 Ilkka Rehn

I've done it many times so far. But it doesn't show my (from)
wallet address. Only the receiver and that hash ID.

22-01-2025 | 12:24:41 Ilkka Rehn

With these documents I simply can't prove the reveiver that

the wallet (address bc1qa-w688k) is not mine.

22-01-2025 | 12:26:42 Ilkka Rehn

If I can't prove it they'll forvard this case to Finnish
authorities.

22-01-2025 | 12:28:37 Dom

I understand the urgency. Unfortunately, the transaction
details in the app won't show your wallet address. You might
consider providing the recipient with a detailed explanation
and any additional documentation you have. For further
assistance, consulting with a legal advisor might be
beneficial.
22-01-2025 | 12:34:01 Ilkka Rehn
Where do I get this detailed explanation? Make one for me
please and send it to my e-mail. Pearhaps they'll (the
receiver Bexxts) accept it because it's from a bank. Not from
a private person.

22-01-2025 | 12:36:43 Ilkka Rehn

How is it possible that in two transactions there is exactly
the same HashID?

22-01-2025 | 12:38:15 Dom

Unfortunately, I can't provide a formal document or
explanation on behalf of Revolut. However, you can explain
to the recipient that the transaction was completed from
your Revolut account to their specified address, and you
have no connection to the other transaction. Regarding the
hash ID, it's unusual for two transactions to share the same
hash. It might be worth discussing this with the recipient's
wallet provider for further clarification.
