Technology in Educational System

Today, we live in the 21st-century world. Technology is the most used aspect of our lives, and it has
become a fundamental element of human life. We use it in our everyday lives. We use it at home to watch
television, wash clothes, and listen to the news. It is also usually used in schools. Do you think
technology can make education easier or can be one of the reasons for a child’s dishonesty?
In the Philippines, many schools are in their E-Learning mode of learning. Many applications they use
such as Quipper, Brainee, and the like. Also, everything students need to know may be found online or
through websites. When we think about it, it may help us with our projects, activities, and assignments.
One of the most significant advantages of technology in education is the accessibility it provides. Online
platforms and digital libraries have made a vast array of resources available to students and educators
alike. Educational institutions are adapting to incorporate these technologies in ways that improve student
engagement, and personalized learning experiences, and prepare learners for a rapidly evolving
workforce. Knowledge ensures that learners from various backgrounds have access to high-quality
educational materials. Adaptive learning technologies, such as intelligent tutoring systems, analyze a
learner's performance in real time and adjust the difficulty of tasks accordingly.
Using technology can benefit both students and educators. Educators can use technology to increase their
knowledge. Technology can provide them with new ideas for their lessons as well as activities that will
allow students to learn while also being more engaging and fun. Aside from that, they can be easier to do.
For instance, teachers can use their laptops and PCs to record our grades and activities. They are not
required to write on paper so that their hands do not hurt. Educators may additionally present lessons
using PowerPoint or Canva to reduce workload and expenses. They do not have to spend time writing and
designing on cartolina or manila paper only to give a presentation about their lessons in front of the class.
Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages to using technology. One negative is that there are no
restrictions on how it can be used. Students, in particular, are unaware of the limitations of technology
use. They can search endlessly, which will make them lazy. They do not even apply their critical thinking
skills, particularly when doing activities or taking exams. You could end yourself doing horrible things
like cheating and linking to irrelevant content by just searching Google, YouTube, and other searchable
websites. Students may become familiar with seeking rapid solutions online rather than investing in in-
depth research and understanding. Furthermore, students' academic performance may be affected by
social media, games, and other non-educational content that diverts their focus from studying not just for
students but also for teachers. Overuse of technology can result in both physical and mental health
problems. The study found that individuals, including students, are more likely to develop
noncommunicable diseases when they use technology without moderation.
In conclusion, technology has greater potential to benefit education. Just to use it properly and within
one's boundaries when doing it. Everything that is created has a purpose; we only need to know how to
use it responsibly and with self-control. Because something is harmful when used excessively.
