I. Summary of Placement Statistics AY’2021-22
With great joy, REVA University announces that the Campus Recruiting
Programme 2022 has been successfully completed for all of the graduates
of 2021–2022. The REVA University experienced a parabolic rise in
placements while maintaining the quality and adhering to the vision and
mission of the university to provide a holistic education and assistance to
the community of students. 345 recruiters visited REVA University for
recruitment from industries including manufacturing, automotive, BFSI,
consulting, FMCG/FMCD, healthcare & pharmaceuticals, and IT/ITES.

The REVA University performance has been aided by the students' efforts
as well as its unique student-driven culture, corporate-academic
interaction, and academic rigour. Popular roles in a range of disciplines,
including Consulting & Strategy, Finance, General Management, Human
Resources, Operations & Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing, were
provided by leading organisations in the industry.

The highest CTC this placement season stood at INR 45 LPA, with the
average CTC being INR 6.5 LPA and International placement of 58
LPA. Excellent performance in internship drives, along with participation
in various case competitions and project based learning helped students
secure these placement offers. Industry welcome approach like extended
internship opportunities flagged REVA students on top of recruiters list.

Career Development Centre (Training and placement cell) express our

REVA University would like to constitute a strategic body called REVA Corporate Advisory Board drawing
leaders from across industries, sectors and domains with the vision of transforming the University into a
progressive, research-driven, innovative, futuristic, socially responsible University. Both strategic and operational
guidance is solicited from the esteemed members of the Advisory Board.

Soft Skills Snippets-AY’2019-20

Program Outcome
Introduction:
The program was designed to help participants develop both soft skills and hard skills needed
for personal and professional growth. The program covered a range of sessions, including an
introduction to soft skills and hard skills, emotional intelligence and intelligence quotient,
basics of communication, employment communication, basics of presentation, problem solving
skills, and ethical values.
Session 1: Introduction of Soft Skills and Hard Skills
The first session introduced participants to the concept of soft skills and hard skills. Participants
were taught the difference between the two types of skills and how they can be developed and
utilized for personal and professional growth. They learned the importance of soft skills in

building effective relationships and communication and how hard skills contribute to technical
and specialized knowledge.

Session 2: Emotional Intelligence and Intelligence Quotient


The second session focused on emotional intelligence and intelligence quotient. Participants
were taught the importance of both types of intelligence in personal and professional growth.
They learned how to improve their emotional intelligence by identifying their emotions,
managing their emotions, and developing empathy for others. They also learned how to develop
their intelligence quotient by improving their cognitive and problem-solving abilities.
Session 3: Basics of Communication
The third session covered the basics of communication. Participants were taught the importance
of effective communication in personal and professional relationships. They learned the key
elements of effective communication, including active listening, clear and concise language,
and appropriate body language. They also learned how to develop their communication skills
to better convey their message and to build strong relationships.
Session 4: Employment Communication
The fourth session focused on employment communication. Participants were taught how to
write effective job applications, including cover letters and resumes. They learned how to tailor
their application to the specific job they are applying for, highlight their strengths and
experiences, and stand out to potential employers.
Session 5: Basics of Presentation
The fifth session covered the basics of presentation. Participants were taught the importance of
effective presentation skills in the workplace. They learned how to prepare and deliver effective
presentations, including how to structure their presentation, use visual aids, and engage their
audience. They also learned how to develop their presentation skills to better convey their
message and to make an impact on their audience.
Session 6: Problem Solving Skills
The sixth session focused on problem solving skills. Participants were taught how to identify
problems, analyze them, and develop effective solutions. They learned how to develop their
critical thinking and decision-making abilities, including how to evaluate different options and
make sound decisions based on the available information.
Session 7: Ethical Values
The final session covered ethical values. Participants were taught the importance of ethical
values in personal and professional relationships. They learned how to identify ethical issues
and make decisions that align with their values. They also learned how to develop their ethical
values to ensure they are making the right decisions and are acting in accordance with their
personal and professional values.

Conclusion:
The program was designed to help participants develop both soft skills and hard skills needed
for personal and professional growth. The sessions covered a range of topics, including an
introduction to soft skills and hard skills, emotional intelligence and intelligence quotient,
basics of communication, employment communication, basics of presentation, problem solving
skills, and ethical values. The program aimed to help participants enhance their communication
and problem-solving skills, improve their employability, and develop effective presentation
skills. The program also aimed to help participants develop their emotional and cognitive
intelligence, and to act in accordance with ethical values in personal and professional
relationships. The program equipped participants with the skills and knowledge they need to
succeed in their personal and professional lives.

The first meeting of Advisory Board was an introductory one to set the
expectations among members. The 90 minutes discussions were open ended
with a broad agenda. The deliberations were on the above framework with a
few critical questions of improving the input/process/output of the University

Being prepared for the real world is not easy, REVA has helped me
develop a positive attitude and discover more about myself. Here at
REVA the teachers are very caring and interested in students’
wellbeing and provide us with immense support and guidance. The
placement department at REVA has helped us take our first step
into the corporate world by organizing dedicated training sessions
prior to our final year in order for us to gain enough insight, it
has also provided huge opportunities to the graduating students to
prove themselves and expand their horizons.

The support offered at REVA has made me take a huge leap into a
bright future by making it possible for me to get placed in reputed
companies and making me understand my true potential, now I can say I
am ready to face the real-world head on, with a smile.

Experience: The college classes made sure that, I gained all the knowledge
offered in the syllabus. The placement department ensured that I was
equipped with all the knowledge that is non-course related everything I
might need when out in the corporate world. This gave me a range of

I strongly believe that REVA is one of the best colleges in
Bangalore. These four years were the amazing years of my life.
This university has been nothing less than what I had hoped for,
Supportive faculty and seniors, beautiful campus, quality education
and amazing friends. It’s everything one needs from a college and
a network developed for life.

REVA, Placement and Training Dept., just don’t help us get placed
in good companies but also help us learn soft skills that are highly
required. We get training on interview skills, communication
skills, life skills, effective time management, social & corporate
etiquette & many more. It helps us extract our inner potential and
talent to make a better career.

I have completed Mechanical Engineering degree and I am placed


at RMC READYMIX (INDIA) as “Management Trainee”. I am
