SECTION – E
(This section comprises of 1 case-study/ passage- based questions of 4 marks with
subparts. The case study question has three subparts (i), (ii) (iii) of marks 1,1 and
2 respectively.)
20. Consider a unit circle with center O. let A be any point on the circle. Consider OA as
initial side of an angle. Then the length of an arc of the circle will give the radian
measure of the angle which the arc will subtend at the center of the circle.
A circle subtends an angle at the center whose radian measure is 2𝜋 and its degree
measure is 360°.
Based on the above information, answer the following questions
a) What is the radian measure of 240°? (1)
𝑐
b) What is the degree measure of the radian measure (1.2) ? (1)
c) What is the radius of the circle in which a central angle of 45° intercepts an
arc of 132 cm? (2)
