PATTERN
Large Pumpkin
R1: CH 41, leaving a long tail (approx. 2 ft.) for cinching the ends
together later.
R2: HDC BLO into each CH starting from the 2nd CH from the hook,
turn. (40 total)
R3-6: CH 1, HDC BLO into each ST for the entire row, turn.
R7: CH 3, BS into every other ST for the entire row, placing 1 SC in
between, turn. You should have 20 bobbles and 20 single crochets.

To complete the Bobble Stitch: [YO, insert hook into the next ST,
PUL, YO & draw through 2 loops] X5. You should have 6 loops on
the hook now. Next, YO & draw through all 6 loops. Tighten the
stitch down by pulling gently on the yarn. Place 1 SC in the ST
between each bobble.
R8-12: CH 1, HDC BLO into each ST for the entire row, turn. (40 total)
R13: Repeat R7
R14-66: Repeat R8-12 & R13 until you have a total of 66 rows or the
rectangle reaches approx. 23 in. You should have 11 sections of 5 rows
BLO HDC with 11 single rows of BS in between them. Tie off.

Joining the Sides: Fold the rectangle in half, meeting the 1st row of HDC
with the last row of BS. SL each front loop of the bobble row with each
loop of the original chain. Tie off, leaving a long tail (approx. 2 ft.).

Cinching the Ends: Now, to form the round shape of the pumpkin, we
will cinch together the top and bottom. Picking up the tail that was left
on our original chain in the beginning, attach your tapestry needle and,
skipping every 2-3 loops, weave the yarn through the edge and pull to
close. Tie off and weave in any ends.
Stuff your pumpkin with polyester filling before repeating this process on
the other side. Don't forget to leave a small opening if you choose to
add a cinnamon stick for the stem!

Finally, taking an extra length of yarn or twine, tie tightly around the
entirety of the pumpkin several times to create the distinct sections and
add the bow around the stem!
