WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the post of Veterinary
Officer on a part-time basis for the Central Animal Facility of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on
28.01.2025. The essential qualifications, experience, honorarium and nature of the job
are as under:

Qualification and Essential Desirable


Experience i) Bachelor’s Degree in Master’s degree or diploma in
Veterinary Science from a Genetics from a recognised
recognized University / University / Institution

veterinary practice in
corresponding field of work.

Job Location The Central Animal Facility, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Tenure of The initial appointment will be for a period of 11 months and


recruitment thereafter, an extension may be allowed depending on the
performance.

Honorarium Rs. 1000 per visit to the Animal House. Minimum number of visits
per month is 8 (eight).
Application Procedure & Terms/Conditions:
1. Interested candidates have to appear for walk-in interview.
2. Candidates should bring duly filled application form (as per the prescribed
proforma) and all original certificates of educational qualifications, experience
certificate along with a passport size photo and set of photocopies of all
documents at the time of interview.
3. Persons working in the Govt./Semi-Govt Organisation/corporations/autonomous
institutes etc. should submit their application along with NOC.
4. Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at
any point of time without prior notice.
5. This is a part-time engagement and is not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar
payroll. The candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on
this job.
6. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates,
departmental candidates (including projects), and Ex-servicemen in accordance
with the instructions issued by the Government of India.
7. The original certificates i.e. Degree Certificate, Qualifying degrees, Date of Birth
Certificate etc. of the candidates who appear for the post of VO will be verified at
the time of Interview. Self-attested photocopies of all relevant certificates to be
submitted along with the application form. If any candidate who joins the post and
leave/resign/or are terminated before the completion of the tenure, the decision
of AIIMS Administration will be final.
8. Nature of Job:
 Providing adequate veterinary care for the laboratory animals of the Animal
House at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
 A minimum of 2 (two) visits per week (minimum 8 visits per month) and
emergency visits (as and when required) must be done for observation and care
of the animals. Each visit should last for a minimum of one hour.
 To design appropriate policies and procedures for ancillary aspects of
veterinary care, such as use of appropriate methods to prevent and control
diseases, operative and post-operative care, diagnosis and treatment of
diseases as well as injuries; animal husbandry and animal welfare; monitoring
occupational health hazards containment and zoonosis control programme;
and supervising animal nutrition and sanitation.
9. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
