ready for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud. They allow you
to create and define multi-dimensional models to provide data
for analytical purposes to answer different business questions.
Pre-defined measures, hierarchies, filters, parameters and

the underlying data.

The Catalog unlocks the full potential of your data. Use it to

Workshop Solution Map

• The workshop is feature-based and showcases how

users can use central business data and combine it with
replicated data from another source to build a common
view.
• Business semantic is applied to the combined dataset to
improve the quality of the measures and attributes.
• An overview of Analytic Model tool and his data preview
capabilities is given. The analytic model is extended by
calculated measures, variables, filters and user prompts.
• The dataset defined in SAP Datasphere is the base for
the analytic dashboard creation, visualization of the
business data and key metrics in SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Discover and explore data assets in the Catalog. Get
familiar with the search and filter options to access the
business data entities.

lineage analysis diagrams.

How to start
• SAP Datasphere requires Google Chrome for
modelling datasets. If you discover any issues with
Chrome, disable Third-Party cookies in your Chrome
settings:
• Type "cookies" in the Windows or Mac search box
and then click "Block or Allow Third-Party Cookies"
• Then navigate to Content settings Cookies
• Deselect "Block third-party cookies and site data"
• Tenant and workbook access is through the URLs
provided by the instructor.
• User ID and password are also provided by the
instructor.
• To begin the lessons, logon to the provided URLs with
the assigned Workshop User ID.
• Follow the workbook instructions on the landing page.
