A Solution Against Application Layer DDoS Attack: SkyShield

D
efining a distributed denial of service assault, or DDoS. It works similarly to a DOS attack in that one targeted system
receives numerous simultaneous requests from infected nodes as opposed to just one, bringing it down and preventing
it from serving a typical user. The hacked nodes are botnets that may be exploited, and a bot master is in charge of
them. By sending orders to these systems, the bot master causes several botnets to submit requests to targets at once. As
soon as an attack is discovered, we use the Sky Shield application at the application layer to attempt to mitigate it. The sketch
is a data structure that employs hashing, with the key being the system’s unique IP value the value having various quantities such
that the number of packets transmitted and bytes. We compute and continually update the drawing for each request. Based on
observation, we determine if two drawings diverge maliciously or legitimately.

| ABSTRACT
A
ccurately predicting travel times is essential for efficient urban transportation planning, as it enables commuters to plan
their trips more effectively and re- duces traffic congestion. This research project proposes a data-driven approach
to predicting travel times for trips within Bangalore using machine learning tech- niques. We obtained data from Uber
Movement, a dataset of GPS traces of vehicles moving in the city. However, due to the inherent complexity of this data, rigorous
preprocessing was necessary to make it suitable for modelling. We trained an XGBRegressor model on the preprocessed data
and evaluated its per- formance against travel time estimates provided by Google Maps. This research project highlights the
potential of machine learning techniques for improving travel time prediction in urban areas, and the importance of rigorous data
prepro- cessing in building accurate models. The results of this project have significant implications for urban transportation
planning and policy-making, and can help improve the efficiency of urban transportation networks.

A Phenomenological Study on the Lived Experiences of
Secondary Teachers in the Hybrid Classroom During the Covid-19
Crisis
| ABSTRACT
T
he study focused on the lived experiences of secondary teachers in a hybrid classroom during the Covid-19 crisis in
the state of Arizona and other states in the United States of America where many schools began implementing hybrid
classrooms. With schools redesigning instruction during that time, hybrid classrooms with students attending a physical
school on certain days and spending a few days remotely for online learning synchronously became the option for continuous
learning.
Data were collected from 15 participants through one-on-one semi-structured interviews that were done either face-to-
face or via zoom video conferencing. This study was anchored on Husserl’s phenomenological approach. Coding through
thematic analysis was employed to generate codes and themes. There were five themes that emerged as a result namely 1)
Effective Virtual Learning and Purposive In-Person Classes; 2) Virtual Online Programs Support Hybrid Learning; 3) Challenges
in Hybrid Learning Engagement; 4) Needs Assessment is Given Prior to Hybrid Learning; and 5) Open Opportunities to Improve
Hybrid Learning. These themes led to the development of a framework at the secondary level of the educational system

encourage them to enhance their safety management, particularly at the beginning of the project with proper planning,
organizing, monitoring, and leading on safety up until the project's completion to lower and/or eliminate the injuries and
accidents at construction sites.
Abstract - In the 1980s, the safety management system (SMS) was created to reduce material waste and the risk of accidents
and fatalities in the construction industry. With the correct SMS deployment, construction companies can reduce safety-
related difficulties. This study assessed the current status of construction safety management intending to determine the
level of implementation of selected construction companies with category AAA in Manila, Philippines. A survey was done to
determine the SMS implementation level in terms of lack of control, basic cause, immediate cause, incident, and accident. The
researcher used the quantitative method of research with the survey questionnaire as the main tool in gathering data. Architects,
engineers, safety officers, and skilled workers were the respondents of the study. The gathered data were statistically treated
with the use of Frequency, Percentage, Weighted Mean, Kruskal Wallis, Man Whitney U-test, and Spearman Rho Correlation. The
overall results showed that the level of the selected construction companies in Manila is somewhat implemented. The results of
this study are helpful to the industry as well because they can improve the understanding of SMS among industry professionals
and aid in better SMS deployment at work.

T
he Commercial battery charging stations for electric cars (EV) currently available have limited controllability and flexibility.
These chargers are not intended to allow customers to define crucial parameters such as desired energy for the next
journey and charging time. Furthermore, the charging regime is not designed to account for the impact of charging (e.g.,
rate of charge) on battery cycle life and grid supply.
Compliance with grid regulations will become more difficult as the prevalence of EVs and distributed generators (DG) increases;
for example, network voltage levels may depart from the statutory limitations. Furthermore, because the battery is the most
expensive component of an EV, efforts should be made to lengthen battery life and minimise the effective EV cost. As a result,
there is a requirement.

Analysis Thermal Behavior of a Locally Heated Solar Chimney
| ABSTRACT
T
his paper presents the thermal behavior of a partially heated solar chimney under hot- humid climate conditions. The
solar chimney (SCH) is 2 m high and 0.8 m wide and consists of an absorber plate and a translucent plate. The SCH allows
a cavity thickness variation from 0 to 0.28 m, an inclination angle variation from 0 to 90º, and allows varying the amount
of energy absorbed by the absorber plate and translucent plate. These plates were heated by resistors, simulating a solar
irradiance range of 225 to 900 W/m2 (absorber plate) and from 12.15 to 50 W/m2 (translucent plate). Twelve tests were carried
out with different configurations varying the power supplied to both plates, the thickness of the absorber plate cavity, and the
90º inclination angle. The variables measured were temperature, air velocity at the inlet, and heat flow on the side walls and rear
wall. As a result, a maximum air renewal of 51.426 ACH was obtained, equivalent to the air changes that would be used in a paint
booth. The results show that the partially heated solar chimney can be used as a passive ventilation system for air renewal.

Sustainable World: A Transcendental Approach Towards
Development
Monika Saxena

| ABSTRACT
T
oday when everything is connected and there doesn’t exist an entity in isolation. It is imperative to take into consideration
not only the physical aspects of growth but most importantly the other dimensions which propels growth. Development
in its fullest form is not possible without knowing the real nature of existence hence transcendental comes into picture
that it is going beyond the physical or seeing things as it is. Whatever phenomenal is created in this world from bridges, aircrafts,
railways, ships, robots, AI etc is through the prism of the mind. To create a conscious and sustainable world firstly we need to
understand the quantum mechanics, which clearly says that the fundamental unit is not electrons rather it is an underlying field
and electrons are the ripples of the same field . When this awareness about existence is there that we are all connected by a field
and any action of an entity will have a consequence on other parts as well.
The objective of this research is to explore the factors of growth and development through transcendental method which is
sustainable. The data source will be secondary in nature and methodology applied is transcendental production function.

| ABSTRACT
D
efect detection in fabric and classification of defect is an important part of quality control process in textile
manufacturing. Deep learning has been recently employed for fabric defect detection and categorization. This work
proposes an anchor selection approach to select anchor regions which have higher probability of defects around it.
The dataset used here is the standard TILDA dataset and textile defect detection dataset with about 4900 fabric image samples.
Resnet deep learning feature set has been implemented for the extraction of color, shape and texture features. Softmax
classifier is adopted for classification of different types of defects and the result is compared against the existing methods like
PRAN-Net, Multiscale-CNN and faster RCNN where the average accuracy for tiny and big defects in anchor selection approach
is said to be better due to selection of anchor regions with higher probability of defect localized around it. The average time
taken for defect detection in anchor selection approach is less when compared to the existing three methods which is because
of selection few anchor regions and the proposed solution is also able to reduce the computational overhead of deep learning
methods for fabric defect localization.

| ABSTRACT
T
his paper aim to propose our framework as Self-Testing-DNN based on YOLO neural network architect to assist in
tracking athletes while testing their speed with the training ladder for video analysis. In order to estimate the average
acceleration and average velocity of athletes. Acceleration and velocity play important role for athletes in many sports,
to provide a more accurate and efficient way of evaluating the performance of athletes, which can be used to improve their
training and performance. Our frameworks consist of five-step as follow, The first step determines ladder lines by coordinated
x and y positions. The second step is athlete detection by verifying the class labels of objects and then extracting the bounding
box coordinated. The third step is athlete tracking in each square of the training ladder with feed forward neural network. The
fourth step calculate acceleration and velocity in each square of the training ladder and finally, calculating the average of
acceleration and velocity. To testing and validate the proposed model, we use the video file captures the testing process and is
used as a dataset. The video dataset consisted of footage of the women's Thailand national volleyball team, which included 18
athletes assayed to testing exercise by a ladder with 5 exercises in each posture. The experimental results on the dataset prove
that the self-testing-DNN was compared to standard equipment using the Pearson correlation coefficient, with results showing
high correlation and can compensate stopwatch without compromising accuracy or reliability. The correlation between the two
variables is strong and statistically significant (r=0.997, p<0.05).

F
loating Solar Photovoltaic System (FSPV) installations offer unique challenges and requirements compared to traditional
ground-mounted or rooftop solar systems. Therefore, an effective monitoring system ensures optimal performance,
maintenance, and overall system reliability. This study developed a monitoring system for a 2.8 kWp floating solar
photovoltaic (PV) system installed in Lake Mainit, Municipality of Jabonga, Agusan Del Norte, Philippines. It addressed the
monitoring needs of floating solar PV systems, targeting parameters such as voltage, current, panel temperature, roll, and pitch
movement of the panels. Wind speed, wind direction, rainfall amount, and water level. A control switch was also included to halt
the FSPV’s operation if the wind speed is greater than 8 m/s. Based on the results, it was found that, on average, the solar panel
harvested power from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Moreover, the power output of the whole system ranges from 11 kWhr to 16 kWhr, while
the panel temperature ranges from 20 ℃ to 60 ℃. The panel started to move significantly during the afternoon due to an increase
in wind speed. It was also observed that the most prevalent wind speed in the southeast direction during the study was in the
range of 4-6 m/s.

Artificial Intelligence and Imagined Reality in Literature
| ABSTRACT
A
rtificial intelligence has a tremendous impact on society, similar to many other revolutionary inventions throughout
human history, yet the fourth industrial revolution is distinct from the other three. AI has a big impact on how we as
humans live. General-purpose AI, or robots that can emulate or even surpass human intelligence, is also referred to in
this context. It includes disciplines like data analytics and machine learning, which have gained popularity as a result of recent
advances in deep learning. Politics and science both place a high importance on artificial intelligence (AI). Every time a new
technology is developed, there is a great deal of interest and suspicion due to the potential effects it may have on society and
the economy. Even though the roots for AI have been in place for a while, recent technological developments have accelerated
its potential. Technology-induced social and cultural change is reflected in educational content and delivery methods as well as
in lifestyles, norms, policies, social institutions, and social institutions themselves. In addition to its benefits, the development
of robots and artificial intelligence raises a number of difficult problems that can be handled by collaborating across disciplines
and making use of the expertise of experts in the humanities and social sciences. The current study focuses on the enormous
impact that artificial intelligence has on literary narratives, how different imagined futures depicted in literature and the media
use AI, and what it would be like for people to interact with AI or robotics and live in socio-technical settings that originate from
a fictional world.

ell-being is a multidimensional construct that involves a state where individuals find peace, life needs are met, have
a meaningful life, have life goals, autonomy, have a satisfactory quality of life in terms of physical, psychological
and social. The partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed to assess the
research model using SmartPLS 4. This study was conducted on 587 teenagers. Among other factors measured in this study are
resilience, relationship with school, parental involvement, self-efficacy, religiosity and spirituality. Among the instruments used
in this study are Well-Being Scale, Spiritual Well-being, Religiosity Scale, Resiliency Belief Scale, Coppell's Self-Efficacy Scale,
Parental Involvement Questionnaire and School Attachment Questionnaire. The items in this instrument are hypothesized as a
priori and have non-zero loading for all dimensions in the model. The analysis of the items shows that the measurement model
for all instruments is a well-fitting, multidimensional and reflective model. Data is also free of multicollinearity with good internal
validity, convergent and discriminant validity. The results also demonstrate that resilience, school attachment, religiosity,
parental involvement, self-efficacy altogether positively affected teenagers’ well-being (β = 0.158, β = 0.193, β = 0.154, 0.280,
0.345,p <0.01) respectively, except spirituality. The model explained 68 percent of the variance in well-being (R2=. 675) with
AVE 0.70 and composite reliability 0.97. Analysis of the items resulted in a well-fitting model (SRMR<0.08, p<0.01). Therefore,
well-being of young generation is significant to bring sustainable development to the mainstream and as protective factors
against some of the challenges that may arise so that they have ability for self-regulation in emotions and become resilience.
The promotion of well-being in teens can help mitigate the onset of negative effects of mental health.

L
ip-reading has gained interest for its potential in revolutionizing human-computer interaction, improving accessibility,
and enhancing surveillance systems. This paper proposes a hybrid approach that combines Convolutional Neural
Networks (CNNs) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models to advance lip-reading accuracy for Tagalog. We collected
a comprehensive dataset of 450 videos featuring 50 known phrases spoken by nine native Tagalog speakers, to facilitate
development and evaluation. The hybrid CNN-LSTM approach leverages CNNs' ability to extract visual features and LSTMs'
capability to model temporal dependencies. Recent studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of such hybrid models in
lip-reading tasks. Our focus is on training and optimizing the hybrid model by using the collected dataset. Evaluation involves
rigorous testing of unseen video sequences using frame-level accuracy and phrase-level recognition rates. The outcomes of
this research can significantly advance lip-reading technology for Tagalog, demonstrating improved accuracy and robustness.
The findings have implications for communication accessibility, human-computer interaction, and surveillance systems. The
collected dataset also serves as a valuable resource for future Tagalog lip reading research.

ndia has achieved self dependency in food grain production by using modern technologies and better scientific approaches
for cultivation. Beside this framers are less dependent on monsoon due to better irrigation facilities. Indian government
provides various subsidies on seed, electricity and other agricultural equipment’s to increase the income of the farmers.
Indian government started various insurance schemes like PMFBY (PRADHAN MANTRI FASAL BIMA YOJANA) so that in spite of
these efforts if due to some natural calamities like flood, drought or hail rain etc. farmers suffers losses then agriculture insurance
is acting as a helping hand to manage the risk in yield loss to the farmers. We can say agriculture insurance is a risk management
tool where the crop production risk is bear by government at a minimal cost. Millions of farmer’s are getting benefited by this
schemes still agriculture insurance has not reached to maximum number of the farmers due to lack of awareness. The paper
proposed a scientific approach using machine learning to calculate the loss to the farmers. So that they can be benefited at the
most. The accuracy of the model comes out be 91 %.

ransformers play a critical role in power transmission systems, and their reliable operation is essential for ensuring
uninterrupted electricity supply. To achieve sustainable and reliable performance, it is crucial to implement an effective
health monitoring system for transformers. However, existing monitoring methods often require significant manual effort
and lack sustainability. In this research project, we propose a sustainable and reliable health monitoring system empowered
by transformers. The system utilizes advanced sensor technologies, data analytics, and remote communication capabilities
to enable real-time monitoring of key transformer parameters such as temperature, oil level, and electrical parameters. By
continuously monitoring these parameters, potential faults and abnormalities can be detected at an early stage, allowing for
timely maintenance actions and preventing unexpected failures. The proposed system reduces the reliance on human labor
and improves sustainability by leveraging automated monitoring processes and remote communication technologies. Through
this research, we aim to develop a transformative solution that enhances the sustainability and reliability of transformer health
monitoring, ultimately contributing to the efficient and resilient operation of power transmission systems.

Development of an Effective Authentication Scheme for Mutual
Identity Verification in IoT-based Smart City Systems
| ABSTRACT
I
n a smart city, security and privacy are crucial to ensure the protection of citizens' personal and sensitive information, as
well as the proper functioning of the city's systems and infrastructure. Smart city systems collect and process vast amounts
of personal data, which must be secured to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or misuse. Smart cities' communication
networks and devices must be secure to prevent hacking or unauthorized access to sensitive information. The widespread
use of sensors and end devices in smart cities raises privacy concerns, as citizens may be monitored without consent. Overall,
smart cities must prioritize security and privacy in their planning and implementation to ensure the safety and well-being of their
citizens. LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a low-power wide-area networking (LPWAN) protocol well-suited for
smart cities. It is designed for use with Internet of Things (IoT) devices and allows for creating large-scale, low-cost networks
that can connect a wide range of devices over long distances. Hence, this paper presents a modern secure user-authenticated
key establishment scheme for LoRaWAN systems. For verification purposes, we showed our proposed algorithm in AVISPA to
prove that it satisfies the essential security parameters. Also, we presented our proposed algorithm as proficient concerning
computation and storage cost.

when they communicate with others, and the skills of local language proficiency become a significant barrier to positive
communication. The current study examined the impact of language proficiency and communication on Chinese expatriates’
cross-cultural adaptation at MNCs in Myanmar. Cross-sectional study and quantitative research methods are applied. The
findings show that language proficiency and communication directly affect Chinese expatriates’ cross-cultural adaptation.

| ABSTRACT
C
anals transport water from lakes, rivers, etc., to human use like irrigation and water supply in urban areas. Canal
construction is too costly an affair. Seepage loss accounts for nearly 23% to 47% through its bed and sides of the
canal. To improve the efficiency water carrying capacity of the canal, different types of lining are provided over the
bed and sides of canals to make the bed and sides impervious which will improve the life and discharge of the canal. Canal
lining obstructs water flow through the bed and sides. Canal linings are constructed with different materials such as compacted
earth, cement, concrete, plastics, boulders, bricks, etc.
Seepage loss mainly depends on soil characteristics of which sides and beds of canals have been constructed. Many types
of canal lining are used based on the characteristics of the soil, permeability of the soil, and fund available. The average
permeability of soil was found 6.5×10-3 cm/sec which is silt soil. The best-suited lining of the Indira Canal is brick lining if the fund
available is less or CC lining if sufficient fund is available.

| ABSTRACT
T
he security of state universities' and colleges' websites in the Philippines is vital because they play a critical role in
delivering education and information to a wide variety of users. However, these institutions are also exposed to several
security flaws due to their growing reliance on digital platforms. To identify potential hazards based on the Open Web
Application Security Project (OWASP) Top 10 and suggest appropriate risk-mitigation measures, this study attempts to examine
and analyze the prevalent security vulnerabilities present in state universities and colleges websites using open source OWASP
Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP). The steps of the test include gathering data about the test target, using OWASP ZAP to do automatic
scanning, exploitation of the scan results, reporting, and offering recommendations. Seventeen (17) SUCs were examined, and
the results show that 23.53% are vulnerable to injection, 40.06% had insecure design, 70.59% had outdated components,
88.24% have security misconfiguration, and 94.12% are vulnerable to Broken Access Control. These vulnerabilities are used
by malicious actors to obtain unauthorized access to software, networks, and systems. By raising the privileges and granting
the user ID additional access inside the ecosystem, it can harm the availability, confidentiality, or integrity of data. SUCs should
embrace the OWASP Top 10 and begin the process of ensuring that the risks associated with their websites are minimized.

A
ccording to research, music has a profound impact on human brain activity, eliciting emotional and behavioral
responses in individuals. Music holds a crucial role as a means of entertainment for music enthusiasts and listeners,
providing potential therapeutic effects for conditions such as mental disorders, sleep disturbances, and depression.
A facial expression based music player is an interactive, sophisticated, and innovative application that can be used as a music
player in an entirely new way. This distinct music player utilizes facial recognition technology to identify the user’s feelings
and tailor the playlist accordingly. It can detect if the user is feeling sad, happy, or angry and will play songs that match those
emotions. Here, the main objective is to identify the expression of the user, and depending on his or her facial expression, the
recommendation system will create a playlist and recommend it to them. We are using mobileNetV2 as a pre-trained model,
and using it, we have obtained an accuracy of 90%. The prediction rate indicates that the model is identifying and classifying an
individual’s expression and creating a playlist on the basis of it. In addition to this, we also did predict blurred images, though the
accuracy was very low. We proved that blurred images can also be identified and predicted. It shows that even when images are
not clear or easily recognizable, there is still potential for identification and prediction.

| ABSTRACT
T
his survey-correlational research aimed to determine the productivity of faculty in state colleges and universities (SUC’s)
as related to organizational justice and engagement. The independent variables were the organizational justice and
faculty engagement, while productivity was the dependent variable. The antecedent variables were age, gender, length
of service, and educational background. Two hundred forty (240) randomly selected faculty in a state institution of higher
learning in Iloilo were the participants of the study, and two adopted, validated, and pilot tested data-gathering instruments
were used – a Questionnaire to Measure Organizational Justice by Usmani and Jamal (2013) and an Employee Engagement
Survey by Koskinen, (2015). To measure the faculty productivity, the Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR) for
SUC’s was utilized. Frequency count, percentage analysis, rank, mean, and standard deviation were employed as descriptive
statistics while the one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s r were employed as inferential statistics. The .05 alpha level was used as
the criterion for the acceptance or rejection of the null hypothesis. All statistical computations were processed through the
Statistical Package of the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Study results revealed that generally, the faculty assessed the
SUC’s prevailing “high” organizational justice and work engagement, but “very high” work productivity. The faculty did not
differ significantly in their assessment of the prevailing organizational justice and work engagement when they were classified
according to age, sex, length of service, and educational background, yet significant differences were noted in their assessment
of the work productivity when they were classified according to length of service and educational background. No significant
differences were noted in the productivity of the faculty classified according to age and gender. A positive and significant
relationship existed between faculty’s assessment of organizational justice in SUC’s and their work engagement, but significant
relationship existed between their assessment of organizational justice in SUC’s and work productivity and between faculty
engagement and work productivity.

O
ne of the issues that most rural areas in India encounter is a lack of safe and clean drinking water sources. Water is
mostly sourced in these areas from shallow wells and rivers. This water, however, might be polluted with hazardous
compounds such as pathogenic germs and hence unsuitable to drink. Solar water distillation is a significant solution
to the problem of fresh water scarcity. Solar water stills can be used to remove dangerous compounds from contaminated
water before it is drunk by treating it with free solar energy. As a result, there is an urgent need to enhance solar still performance
in order to generate a higher quantity and quality of safe drinking water. In order to tackle this problem, in this present work an
attempt is made to study the performance of the solar still by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) by considering the
effects of various parameters such as basin material, insulation of the solar still, still water depth, inlet water temperature, top
cover material, and angle of the glass cover. The performance of the solar still (i.e., rate of distillation) for the above parameters
is depicted graphically, and necessary conclusions are drawn.

| ABSTRACT
T
his research initiated a comprehensive investigation to determine the most suitable Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
for bamboshoots.AI application. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and support vector machines (SVMs) were cited
as two essential ML techniques in a comprehensive review of ten papers. To further assess these two algorithms in the
context of the Bambooshoots.ai application, an experimental analysis was also carried out. The CNN model had been trained
over 25 epochs with 8 batches of data per epoch, demonstrating a consistent increase in accuracy, and reached 97.94%
by the end of training. In contrast, the SVM model provided an accuracy of approximately 57.14%. The experimental results
indicated that the CNN model had been better at classifying bamboo shoot images, thus making it the preferred choice for
the BambooShoots.AI application. The significant difference in accuracy between the two models, as well as the consistent
performance of CNNs in image-based tasks, informed this decision. The results of this research were thrilling because they
showed that machine learning could be used to help understand and manage bamboo shoots. This could have been a big help
to farmers and could have led to new ways of doing things in agriculture.

Study of Light Induced Fading of Electrophotographic Prints
Anirban Das

| ABSTRACT
I
n various practical contexts, printed images or textual content are subjected to light exposure, rendering their lightfastness
a critical parameter. Adequate lightfastness ensures consistent colour stability even with extended usage. This work aims
to characterize the colour-fading behaviour in electrophotographic prints under the influence of light source exposure
The application of electrophotography prints has witnessed a notable surge in recent times, expanding its scope beyond
conventional document printing to art and photography. There is an increasing concern about the longevity and colour stability
of electrophotographic print. In this study, the Altona test colour chart has been printed using the electrophotographic method
on the paper substrate and has been exposed to an accelerated aging procedure utilizing a xenon arc lamp to examine the
deterioration of colour. The test chart that has been printed consisted of six solid colour patches (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta,
and yellow). The spectrophotometric measurements of the prints have been performed using a Spectroradiometer, and the
data has been analyzed using Principles Component Analysis (PCA). The colour fading observed in all the colour prints adheres
to the characteristics of type II fading. This fading pattern is characterized by an exponential and rapid colour shift within the
initial 10 hours of exposure, followed by a gradual and linear decline. To analyze the rate at which colour fading occurs, a curve
fitting method was employed, utilizing a first-order kinetic model. The level of fit quality, represented by R2, is approximately
0.95 across all colour patches. The fading behaviour of the colours results from a combination of distinct kinetics, yet the fading
rate itself exhibits a singular nature. The study has shown that each colour patch has exhibited a unique level of light sensitivity,
influenced by factors such as toner composition, substrate material, fusion temperature, and the light source employed.

B
uilding a generalized rural travel demand perspective helps create policies that better address rural mobility and inclusive
national development. However, studies on rural transport planning are limited which builds a gap in understanding trip
behavior in rural areas. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the trip characteristics of rural households
in a remote community. This study specifically aimed to collect socio-economic, and demographic information of rural
households in Davao City through a household survey and develop a trip generation modelling to describe the relationship
between these factors with trip frequency. Hence, a trip diary consisting of trip frequency, trip purpose, and mode choice
information was required. The data revealed that the average household size is 3.96 which is mostly composed of extended
family members, students, and working members. This signifies school and work as the primary purpose of trips on a typical day
in the rural community. Further, different income classes were compared according to each trip characteristics. Results showed
that, regardless of income class, most households own at least one motorcycle due to insufficient inaccessibility and poor road
infrastructure. Walking was reported to be one of the preferred mode choices in addition to public utility vehicles, especially for
low-income class and middle-income class households located in an inaccessible and remote portion of the community. Finally,
an Artificial Neural Network was structured to investigate correlations between socio-economic and demographic factors with
trip frequency, which revealed that household size, number of students, number of workers, and number of members between
7 and 59 years old showed strong positive correlations. In conclusion, it is no doubt that public transportation has become the
preferred mode choice for rural residents. It is therefore important for the government to improve transportation facilities and
include rural communities in policymaking to accommodate transport demand.

Study of Effects of Humidification Prior to Nebulization using
CFD: Investigations on Combination of Humidifier and Nebulizer
Anshul Kumar
School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India
| ABSTRACT
N
ebulization involves the administration of medication in the form of a mist or aerosol directly to the lungs. Its primary
goal is to deliver medication to treat respiratory conditions. Humidification is the process of adding moisture to the
air. It is commonly used to increase humidity in the respiratory system, particularly in individuals with dry or irritated
airways. Nebulization therapy can be combined with humidification to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment and provide
additional relief. Adding moisture to the air through a humidifier can help soothe the airways, reduce dryness, and facilitate the
absorption of medication during nebulization. Our purpose is to investigate the combination of nebulizer and humidifier as a
means of enhancing respiratory therapy outcomes. By examining the existing literature, evaluating the technical aspects of
these devices, and exploring their physiological impact on the respiratory system, this study aims to provide a comprehensive
understanding of the potential advantages of this combined approach. The purpose is to study the flow of drug particle with
and without presence of water droplets using CFD at three different relative humidity conditions (0%, 50% and 80%).
The software used for simulation is Ansys Fluent (Student version). Boundary conditions were set to simulate the actual fluid
flow. Velocity vector, particle pathlines to calculate residual volume and mean particle diameter at outlet, and mass flow rate
were set as parameters of study. The simulation results showed that the mean particle diameter (4.296µm) and mass flow rate
(2.5386×10-8kg/s) were maximum when no humidity were introduced and minimum at 50% relative humidity (PD – 3.315µm and
MFR - 1.7576×10-8 kg/s). These results prove that among the three conditions, nebulization efficacy is maximum in 50RH case
but the nebulization time is also highest in the same, meaning that it requires more time but gives the best result and should
increase the comfort of patients.

| ABSTRACT
T
he main thrust of this study was to evaluate the sensory attributes of Flavored Nipa (Nypa fruticans) Flower Tea.
Specifically, it aims to determine the acceptability level in three treatments in terms of appearance, aroma, and taste
in hot and cold serving temperature. It also sought to find the significant difference among the three treatments in hot
and cold serving temperature. Through this study, people will learn to utilize the availability of Nipa Flower in their locality and
use this as a potential livelihood. The study made use of quantitative research employing experimental design in producing the
Nipa Flower Tea in different treatments, and a descriptive survey with the aid of a self-made questionnaire in gathering the data
needed. The researchers used taste sampling of the product and distributed the questionnaires to 30 respondents composed
of 25 students and 5 teachers of Hinlayagan National High School, Trinidad, Bohol. The researchers introduced the study, gave an
explanation, and distributed the products and questionnaires to the respondents for tasting and evaluation. The questionnaires
were rated using the 4-Point Hedonic Scale. The data gathered were then tallied, tabulated and computed through percentage
formula to determine the sensory attributes and a weighted mean to evaluate the acceptability level of Flavored Nipa (Nypa
fruticans) Flower Tea in three treatments in terms of appearance, aroma, and taste in hot and cold serving temperature. A two-
way ANOVA was also used to find out the significant difference in the respondent’s acceptability level of the product. The
interpretation followed after the computed results. Based on the findings, the researchers concluded that all the treatments
in terms of appearance, aroma, and taste in hot and cold serving temperature are all acceptable. Particularly, treatment 2
was more preferred in hot serving temperature and treatment 3 in cold serving temperature, but hot serving temperature are
more acceptable than cold serving temperature. The overall result implies that there is a significant difference in the serving
temperature, which means that the null hypothesis is rejected. While there is no significant difference in the treatments used,
thus, the null hypothesis is accepted. Lastly, the overall interaction of the serving temperature and the treatments conveys that
there is no significant difference. Hence, the null hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the results indicates that the product is feasible
for production and has potential to create livelihoods. The researchers suggest that the consumers may preferably use hot
serving temperature in preparing the tea and may try to use organic sweeteners. Future researchers may also steep the Nipa
Flower tea in a small amount of hot water to extract its flavor, color, and aroma first before adding cold water or ice cubes to
improve its appearance, aroma, and taste in cold temperature serving.

M
odern Machine learning techniques are radically large datasets and complex data. However, modern machine-
learning techniques such as deep learning, natural language processing, and big data analytics have emerged that
can take complex data and extract previously impossible insights. The advantages of the current techniques include
their ability to identify early signs of disease, predict treatment outcomes, personalize treatment transforming healthcare. This
has been an evolutionary process from the early Machine Learning Techniques. The early applications were mostly rule-based,
expert, and knowledge-based systems that were limited in handling plans for individual patients, and analyze electronic health
records. Comparing traditional and modern techniques shows that current machine learning algorithms can explore more
complex patterns in the data, resulting in precise forecasts and individualized treatment plans, thus making them more efficient
and cost-effective than traditional techniques. They can also process unstructured data, such as images and text, which is
impossible with conventional methods.

Time Management and Its Impact on Satisfaction with Virtual
Courses among University Students in a Peruvian Region
| ABSTRACT
A
t present, Peruvian universities have implemented the development of virtual courses; although this allows everyone
to have access to higher education and to be able to train professionally to achieve better opportunities, there are
still certain problems in terms of student performance, which are related to time management that can generate
dissatisfaction towards the courses that are taught in this modality; in view of this, this article seeks to determine how
time management affects satisfaction towards virtual courses in university students in the Ica region; For this purpose, the
methodology was based on a quantitative approach, basic cross-sectional type, explanatory level, being the selected design
non-experimental, causal correlational; the population consisted of students from different universities that have a branch
within the Ica region, of which we worked with a sample of 139 students selected through a non-probabilistic sampling by
convenience; for data collection, a questionnaire on time management and the short scale to measure satisfaction with virtual
courses (SVC - S) were applied. Finally, the Nagelkerke coefficient indicates that the proposed variability model is able to
explain 52.7% of the satisfaction with the virtual courses.

Uncertainty Evaluation in Ship Repair Specification
Yordan Denev
Technical University of Varna, Bulgaria
| ABSTRACT
T
he paper deals with uncertainties in ship repair specifications and their impact on docking duration. In some cases, on
ships, repair specifications mention defects that are established by the crew when the ship is under exploitation. In the
other part of the repair specifications, prepositions mentioned possible problems. Their current condition is determined
when the ship is in dry dock, and they are considered indefinite. The paper analyzes ten of the most common uncertainties in
ship repair connected to hull condition, the condition of its underwater parts, steering gear mechanisms and machinery, and
deck equipment. The evaluation of the impact on dry docking duration is done by the GUM method. On the basis of this method,
the probability of clear information about ship repair is assumed to be 95%. The combined standard is evaluated with a safety
coefficient of c = 1,00. The final result of the uncertainty evaluation for the first case is 3.70±7.45%, and for the second case it
is 5.30±11.2%. Schematically, the Gant chart and GUM evaluation show the impact on ship repair duration and ship repair yard
schedule.

| ABSTRACT
C
ommunity detection is essential for identifying related groups in online social networks. Internet Communication
Technology (ICT) makes e-learning and technology necessary in education. In addition, ICT plays an important role,
from providing distance education and identifying interest groups to providing services to social interaction groups.
Also, social realities, relative adversaries, groups to be served, etc., may be determined based on vested interests. Therefore,
it is necessary to enable active researchers in social networks and identify communities to discover more, mainly behaviour-
based groups. However, not any comment can be copied in terms of social associations. It is demonstrated that most machine
learning algorithms using absolute mean ratios can derive interest scores based on social group organizations. However, non-
uniformity association principles to poor enactment in the analysis and, consequently, lower accuracy. To solve this problem,
we can implement deep learning-based social recognition and improve recognition accuracy. An improved community
identification based on Spider Ant Colony Relative Feature Mining Algorithm (SACR-FMA) using Dense Net Convolutional
Neural Network (DNCNN) can be proposed. The online Community dataset is collected based on learner search features. The
Learner’s Impact Behavioural Rate (LIBR) is initially estimated to find the learner’s interest. Then Edge Graph Semantic Subset
Group Mining (EGSSGM) is used to marginalize the feature rate. Depending on the learner community rate, the Spider Ant
Colony Relative Feature Mining Algorithm (SACR-FMA). The selected features are trained into Dense Net Layers (DnL) to create
relative subgroup identity mining. Then the features are introduced into an optimistic Dense Net Convolutional Neural Network
(DNCNN) to identify the community interest class by category. The proposed method performs very well in detecting related
subgroups in social networks compared to other systems. It provides accuracy, higher precision, recall and F-measure with less
time complexity. .

ProCoMon: A Web-Based Project Procurement Management
Plan (PPMP) Consolidation and Monitoring System for Nueva
Vizcaya State University
| ABSTRACT
T
he major purpose of this study is to design and develop a web-based consolidation and monitoring system that can
handle the delayed submission of the university's Annual Procurement Plan, which is catered by the Nueva Vizcaya
State University's Procurement Management Office. As a result of the identification of requirements and specifications,
there is a need to design and develop a web-based system wherein research interviews, observations, and user-stories were
used to identify and analyze the study's methods, issues, and concerns. The Agile Unified Process was used as the research
methodology which managed changing user needs and involved the user in the software development process. The AUP
includes processes for each of the four phases: conception, elaboration, construction, and transition. As a result, the study lends
a better consolidation and monitoring system to be more efficient and accurate in the formulation of an Annual Procurement
Plan of the university.

| ABSTRACT
U
rban and inter-urban rail transport provide the most favoured commuting option for millions of individuals globally. In
spite of massive investments of public money to develop rail technologies and related infrastructure such as tunnel
systems, there remain challenges to ensuring safety in this area. Railway tunnels present specific and serious fire safety
issues, based on their length and restricted width. Smoke and other emissions from fires are a central factor to be considered
in relation to both structural safety and survival where tunnel fires occur. Patterns of smoke flow can impact upon how efficient
exhaust systems are, and for naturally ventilated systems, establishing shaft smoke flow patterns in tunnel fires is a significant
requirement. While earlier work has considered this issue, it has been based on standard atmospheric conditions, while external
temperatures can influence smoke movement properties, heat distribution, and the pattern of smoke flows within vertically
constructed shafts. This study takes the case study of an underground metro tunnel, applying computational fluid dynamics
through ANSYS Fluent to simulate and examine the effects of more extreme external temperatures for fires of 5 and 15 mw
occurring in this environment.

Analysis of Natural Coagulants from Solanum tuberosum and
Tropaeolum tuberosum in the Treatment of an Environmental
Liability, Huancayo – Peru
| ABSTRACT
E
nvironmental liabilities are the environmental situations, generated by anthropogenic activities in the past, which cause
progressive deterioration to the environment. This study aimed to analyze the coagulants of S. tuberosum (potato) and T
tuberosum (Mashua) in the treatment of an environmental liability in the city of Huancayo – Peru. For this, the explanatory,
experimental level methodology was used; where, a stock solution was prepared, made from the shell of S. tuberosum and T.
tuberosum; The doses of this solution were 5, 7, 9 and 11ppm which were applied to the sample of water from an environmental
liability, through the jug test; for this; in addition, a pre-treatment analysis was performed. The results in relation to the optimal
dose of S. tuberosum showed that 90 ppm were sufficient to reduce Cr and 70 ppm was the best dose in the removal efficiency
of Turbidity, Cd and Pb. Likewise, for the physicochemical parameters of the study, the optimal dose of T. tuberosum was 11
ppm. The removal efficiency of the coagulant S. tuberosum was 76.61%, 50.55%, 99.94% and 45.63% for turbidity, Cd, Cr and
Pb, respectively. There was also a significant difference in the means of coagulants used and control (p-value < 0.05; 95%
confidence). The conclusion was that the use of coagulants of S. tuberosum and T. tuberosum are effective in the removal of
contaminants such as turbidity, chromium and lead. However, only Cr meets Environmental Quality Standards (ECA).
