INTRODUCTION

The present work is entitled “Soccer”, the purpose of which is to learn more about the subject

that interests many but not everyone investigates until breaking down the subject.

The importance of the subject is that this sport serves us all for many things, one of the main

ones is to exercise, some take it as a hobby, others dedicate themselves thoroughly to become a

great soccer player that everyone admires.

In writing this sport, different sources were used, such as books, the Internet and some

newspaper articles. Through this, an in-depth analysis of the topic was achieved for better

understanding.

We must focus football teaching on the fundamentals of the game so that players become

familiar with them. These fundamentals can be found in tactics and technique.

''One of the most popular sports in the world is football; through it, people learn about the

cultures of different people and provide them with a lot of fun and entertainment. Football has

existed since ancient times and thanks to this many championships have been held at high

levels, which has generated work, joy and development in general. Football is a sport in which

eleven players and four referees participate, who follow a set of rules. It is played on a

rectangular grass field, on each side there is a goal. The objective of the game is to move a ball

across the field to the opposing goal, an action called a GOAL. The main rule of the game is not

to touch the ball with your arms or hands during play; this is only excluded when a throw-in is to

be taken. '' (Posadita20, 2011)

DEVELOPMENT''Football

, also known as association football and called football, soccer or football, is a team sport played

between two teams of eleven players each and four referees who ensure that the rules are

followed correctly. It is widely considered the most popular sport in the world, with some 270

million people participating.

The playing field is rectangular, made of natural or artificial grass, with a goal on each side of the

field. The objective of the game is to move a ball across the field using any part of the body other

than the arms or hands, and mostly with the feet (hence its name), in an attempt to get it into

the opposing goal, an action called scoring a goal. The team that scores the most goals at the

end of the match, which lasts 90 minutes, is the winner of the match.

The modern game was created in England following the formation of the Football Association,

whose 1863 rules form the basis of the sport today. The governing body of football is the

Fédération Internationale de Football Association, better known by its acronym FIFA. The most

prestigious international football competition is the World Cup, organised every four years by the

organisation. This event is the most famous and has the largest number of spectators in the

world, doubling the audience of the Olympic Games. '' (Wikipedia, 2007)

''The first British codes that gave rise to association football were characterized by their lack of

organization and extreme violence. However, there were also other less violent and better

organised codes: perhaps one of the best known was the Florentine Calcio, a very popular team

sport in Italy which had an impact on the codes of some British schools. The definitive formation

of association football had its culminating moment during the 19th century. In 1848,

representatives from different English colleges met at the University of Cambridge to create the

Cambridge Code, which would serve as the basis for the creation of modern football regulations.

Finally, in 1863 in London, the first rules of association football were made official. '' (Wikipedia,

2007

)''Football is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players each. It is the most played

game in the world and also the most popular among spectators, with a following of millions of

fans.

All you need to play is a ball and two goals that can be marked on the ground with chalk or lime;

and for those who wish and can afford it, sports clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, socks and

football boots. You can even play with bare feet. This simplicity is the reason for the game's

popularity. Because the contacts are not as violent as in other types of football and a round ball

is easier to control than an oval one, the game can be played even by the youngest players. ''

(The essays, 2012)

''Football is one of the most popular sports in the world. What is the passion for football? When

answering, the only word that comes to mind is the passion for respect for the fans, the shirt, the

shield and the ball. Not everyone is born with the feeling that many of us have had since

childhood, without fear of saying it, we can say that it is in our blood. It is the sport that for many

is the best thing that could have happened, this may be just for fun but it is also about teaching

the importance of team play from a young age, defending the shirt. Feeling proud when you can

feel, shout and share with your friends or fans the excitement of scoring a goal.

Although in recent years this sport has been tarnished by bad players who care less about the

shirt, the badge or their fans than about the money they earn, it is increasingly easy to see

children dreaming of becoming a footballer just for the big prize of wealth.

In soccer, two teams of eleven players and four referees take to the field, who follow a set set of

rules. The game is played on a grass field, with a goal on each side that is defended by its

goalkeeper and defenders at all costs. One of the main rules of the game is not to touch the ball

with your hands or your hands during play; they are only used for throw-ins, which is when the

ball goes out of the field, the only player allowed to use his hands is the goalkeeper.

At the end of the Middle Ages and in later centuries in the British Isles and surrounding areas,

some team games were already being played, in which the codes of football already existed, but

it was towards the 17th century when it was finally established as football, which gave rise to

rugby, American football and Australian football, although we have reference that it began with

the Mayans, the Egyptians and the Chinese many years ago.

The first British codes were characterized by having few rules and a lot of violence, due to this,

carnival football was born, which was prohibited in England for generating violence, through a

Decree issued by King Edward III, then Florentine calcium appeared, originating in the city of

Florence, Italy, which greatly influenced the current concept of football because it was

characterized by being in a party atmosphere. As early as the mid-19th century, football codes

began to be unified. '' (Good Tasks, 2012)

CONCLUSIONThe

work I have done, soccer is the most played sport in the world, currently there are many teams

registered in the FIFA world league that participate in the World Cup every 4 years.

It is believed that the first football game was played in Scotland, and from there it spread to
every country on every continent from Europe to all parts of America.

To play a soccer game, 12 players are needed on each team, which is placed on a field or

stadium with a time limit and a referee to control the game.

There are many countries that seem to have football in their blood, such as Brazil, Italy,

Argentina, among others.

''Today football is played at a professional level all over the world and millions of people regularly

go to stadiums to follow their favourite teams and many more watch it on television. A large

number of people play football at an amateur level. According to a FIFA survey published in

spring 2001, more than 240 million people regularly play football in more than 200 countries

around the world. Its simple rules and minimal equipment requirements have undoubtedly

helped spread its popularity.

In many parts of the world, football evokes great passions and plays an important role in the

lives of individual fans, local communities and even nations; it is therefore considered the most

popular sport in the world. He even intervenes in war issues. For example, according to ESPN,

the Ivory Coast national team helped secure a truce in the nation's civil war in 2005. On the

contrary, football was the cause of a war, the so-called Football War, which took place in 1969

between El Salvador and Honduras. Sport also exacerbated tensions at the start of the Yugoslav

wars in the 1990s, when a match between Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb ended in riots

in March 1990. '' (Great Football, 2007)
