function and operation of the Instrument. In order to use the instrument properly, please read this
manual carefully before using the Instrument.

Safety Warnings and Guidelines
1. Important operation information of the security
Before using the instrument, user need have a complete understanding how to operate it safety.
Before running the instrument, please read this manual carefully.

Forbid anyone to operate the instrument before reading the manual.


If operate not in accordance with the tips on the manual, the heat generated by the instrument at
runtime may cause severe burns, and electric shock accident. Please read the following safety tips
and guidance, and implementation of all precautions.
2. Security
When operation, maintenance and repair of this instrument, it must be subject to the following basic
safety precautions. If you don't abide by the warnings pointed in the manual, may affect the
protection and intended use scope of the instrument.

The instrument is GB9706.1 standard I class B common devices. The instrument is for
indoor use.

Before operating this equipment please read this manual carefully, otherwise it may cause
personal injury.
Only in the aspect of how to use electrical equipment installation trained qualified inspection
personnel to operate the equipment.

Operators do not attempt to open or repair equipment, doing so will make you lose the
warranty qualification, also may be limited by electric shock. If you need repair, please contact our
company.

Before connecting the power supply, ensure the power supply voltage and the instrument
voltage required the same. And make sure that the power outlet rated load no less than the
instrument requirements.
If the power cord damaged, replace it according to the same type and specifications. Don’t press
anything on the power cord when it be used, don't put the power cord in place where people often
walk.
When insert the power cord plug, must hand-hold the plug and ensure that the plug is completely
inserted into the socket, when pull out the plug, must hand-hold the plug as well and don't pull the
power cord.

During operation, the temperature may become very high and have the possibility cause
burns or the liquid boiling out, therefore, in the process of the whole operation, it is forbidden any
part of the body contact, in order to
avoid scald!

The instrument should be put in lower humidity and less dust and away from water and
avoid direct sunshine and strong light, indoor should be well ventilated, no corrosive gas or strong
magnetic field interference, away from heat, stoves and other heat sources. Don't take equipment in
wet or dusty places. In order to avoid temperature overheating, do not block or cover the vent holes
on the instrument. when several equipment be used at the same time, the more the distance between
each instrument shall be not less than 30cm.

Shut off the power when stop working. Unplug the plug and using soft cloth or plastic cover to
prevent dust from entering the instrument when long time no use.

When happened as following listed cases, the user should pull the power socket
immediately and contact the supplier or trained maintenance personnel:
 Liquid into instrument;
 Instrument damaged by rain or water;
 Instrument don't work properly, especially appear any abnormal sound or smell;
 Instrument drops or shell damage;
 Instrument functions have obvious changes.
3. The maintenance of Instrument
The platform and clamp should be cleaned by the cloth stained with a little alcohol. If there are
smutches on the Instrument, clean them by soft cloth stained with cleaning cream .
4. After-sale service
a) The content of warranty.
Within 12 months from the date of delivery time, if this instrument breaks down caused by the
defects in material or manufacturing faults, we guarantee to repair it.
During warranty period, we will selectively repair or replace the instrument proved to be defected.
Please send warranty product to our authorized maintenance department and should be responsible
for the freight to us. We will be responsible for the returned freight returned to users.
About the repairing out or warranty period, we will properly charge the cost.
b) Warranty Coverage
Above warranty is not suitable for the damage caused by improper maintenance, operated in
unsatisfactory condition, repairing or refit without authorization.

Chapter 1 Introduction
1. Introduction
Orbital Shaker-Incubator is a compact bench–top Shaker–Incubator used for mixing of biological
liquids as well as for incubation and cultivation of biological liquids according to the operator set
program. Seven interchangeable platforms allow it mix and culture samples in flask, petri dish,
tubes, Elisa plates, and etc. Built–in microprocessor thermo controller provides constant
temperature control in the incubator chamber. It is extremely easy to operate, with very
straightforward setup of temperature, speed and time.
Feature:
 Instantly display operation information(time, temperature and speed) on the LCD screen.
 Gentle and reliable shaking with direct brushless DC motor.
 Running safely –-heating and shaking will be automatically stopped once the lid is open.
 Seven interchangeable platforms can be chosen for variety demands.
 Auto restart in case of power failure.
 Over-heating protection device is included.
 Built-in temperature calibration function.
 Compact, only 421mmx320mm(DXW).

3. Platform Installation
There are 7kinds of platforms: PF-1,PF-2,PF-3,PF-4,PF-5,PF-6,PF-7.

a) Installation for platforms PF-1, PF-2, PF-3, PF-4, PF-5, PF-7

Fix the platform onto the main machine by crewing 4pcs M4X6 screws.

b) Installation for platform PF-6

c) Installation for Elisa Plates/Deep-well Plates

Insert the elisa plate into platform, then press the plate vertically to ensure smooth installation and
no looseness between the plate and platform.

Chapter 3 Operation Guide
1. Basic Operations
1.1 Parameters in display

" PV " this row displays current temperature and running status.
" S " this row displays procedure no., setting temp, setting speed and time.

1.2 Procedures selecting


In STOP status, please press / to move cursor in procedure no. Then press ▲ or ▼ to select the

procedure. Five standalone procedures can be selected(S1~S5).

1.3 Temp setting


In STOP status, please press / to move cursor in Temp. Then press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the temp.

value. The cursor position means the different stepping value.


Note: If room temp is higher than setting temp, instrument can not run normally.

1.4 Speed setting


In STOP status, please press / to move cursor in Speed. Then press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the Speed

value. The cursor position means the different stepping value.


If you need to turn off the speed function, reduce speed until "OFF".

1.5 Time setting


In STOP status, please press / to move cursor in Time. Then press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the Time

value. The cursor position means the different stepping value.


If you want to keep running with setting temperature, reduce time value until "KEEP".
Note: “KEEP” means procedure will keep setting temperature, unless it is outage or you stop
running.
1.6 Start/Stop running
After finishing setting, please press Start/Stop, system will run automatically. Then status will
display “WAIT”, system will be heating to setting temperature.

When temperature reaches the setting temperature, system will display your setting time and start to
count down.

During running, press Start/Stop continuously (2 seconds) to stop running and system will be
back to setting menu.

Note: Before running, please make sure LID CLOSE. During running, if open the lid, the
system will show “LID OPEN” and stop running. When close the Lid well, the system will
continue to run.

1.7 Finishing running


When finished running, system will stop running automatically, and displays current temperature.

System will be back to setting menu by pressing any key.


Note: After running, system inner will be very hot for a while, please be careful.

2. System setting
Press Option key to enter or exit(no save) system setting menu.
Press Start/Stop key continuously (>2 sec) to save modification and exit.

2.1 Automatic resume to run function(ORF)


Press / in system setting menu, it turns into ORF setting menu.

ORF DISABLE

Starting (ENABLE) ORF, if power is outage during running, system will automatically run again
after power on.
Canceling (DISABLE) ORF, users need to select procedure to run by manual after power on.

Press ▲ or ▼ to Enable/Disable ORF.

2.2 Reset function setting(Reset)


Press / in system setting menu, it turns into Reset All setting menu.

Press ▲ or ▼ to Enable/Disable Reset. .


Press Start/Stop key continuously (>2sec) to reset all setting then system will reboot.
Press Option key to cancel current setting then exit.

2.3 Temp calibration (Calibration)


Press / in system setting menu, it turns into Calibration setting menu.

Press ▲ or ▼ to Enable/Disable Calibration function.

Press Start/Stop key continuously (2 seconds) to start temperature calibration When


Calibration is ENABLE.
Press Option key to cancel current setting then exit.
Temp calibration instruction, please refer to the temperature calibration section.

Note: ORF factory default is forbidden

Chapter 4: Temperature Calibration
The temperature of the instrument has been calibrated before it is sold out. But if there is deviation
between the actual temperature and the displayed temperature due to some reasons, you can do as
follows to correct the error.

System inner temperature must be below 30℃ when start calibration!


Adjustment methods as follows:
1. Inject thermometer probe through the calibration circular hole into system inner. (Make sure the
precision of the thermometer should be within 0.1℃). The thermometer probe will be go down
12cm from the Lid top. Then use high-temperature adhesive tape to fix the lead wire of thermometer.
Make sure that thermometer probe is fixed firmly and vertically upper the center.

2. Press / in system setting menu, it turns into Calibration setting menu. Long press Start/Stop

to Enable Calibration function. The system will heat to 37.0℃ automatically.

In the display window, temp. value is current temperature of system inner. “Wait” means it is
heating.

3. When temperature reaches and keeps at 37.0℃, the decimal place will flicker and display
“USER”. Read the thermometer actual temperature.

4. If the actual temperature of thermometer is 37.1℃, press ▲ or ▼ to adjust temperature to 37.1℃,
then press Start/Stop key to confirm.
Note: In order to insure temperature accuracy, please amend it when the temperature reaches
setting temperature and keeps for 30mins.

T1: 37.1 USER
5. Then system will automatically heat up to next calibration. Users need to repeat above steps and
input data at each calibration. After calibration, screen shows succeed and remind users to reboot
system.

Reboot System

Note: If users want to exit calibration, please power off then restart instrument.
If power off or power outage during calibration, this calibration is invalid.

Chapter 5: Troubleshooting
