List of Sops To Follow During The JICA Team
1. At the Office:
o Confirm the work site, pipe dimensions, and required work.
o Conduct pre-start checks for all equipment (jetting machine, suction machine, and
cameras).
o Ensure safety gear and traffic control equipment are packed.
2. Staff and Equipment Readiness:
o Assign roles to staff (jetting machine operator, suction machine operator, nozzle
guider, upstream watcher, traffic control personnel, etc.).
o Check the availability of tools and ensure no worn-out parts are in use.
On-Site Protocols
1. Machine Operations:
o Choose the appropriate nozzle based on pipe conditions (wall cleaning, sediment
removal, or standard).
o Set jetting machine pressure at 10 MPa and never exceed 15 MPa to avoid pipe
damage.
o Operate suction machines at full power, ensuring hoses are maneuvered properly.
2. Manhole Cleaning:
o Clean walls, bottoms, and pipe inlets/outlets using the wash gun at 3–5 MPa
pressure.
o Monitor hose movement using vinyl tape marks (2m and 1m indicators).
3. Post-Cleaning Inspection:
o Use cameras to confirm cleanliness, document remaining sediments, and take
after-cleaning photos.
o Repeat cleaning steps if sediments persist.
