Microreport
1.0 Introduction
A university management system is a software platform designed to streamline administrative tasks
within a university or college. It typically includes modules for student enrollment, course registration,
academic records management, faculty management, financial management, and other administrative
functions.

2.1 Aim of the micro-project

1. Identify the functions common to database.
2. Identify the qualities of valuable information.
3. Identify & implement the common features of Car Shop Management system.
4. Create simple database and queries.

3.1 Course outcomes integrated

a. Create Database using SQL commands.
b. Manage Database using SQL commands.
c. Implement Advance SQL concepts on database.
e.Apply security and safety on Database.
4.0 Actual procedure followed:
1. Requirements Gathering: Understand the needs of the university, such as managing student records,
faculty information, course details, grades, etc.

2. Database Design: Design the database schema including tables, relationships, and attributes. Common
entities include Students, Faculty, Courses, Departments, Grades, etc.

3. Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD): Create an ERD to visualize the relationships between different
entities in the system.

4. Normalization: Normalize the database schema to eliminate redundancy and improve efficiency.

5. Implementation: Implement the database schema using a relational database management system (e.g.,
MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

6. Data Population: Populate the database with sample data or real data if available.

7. User Interface Design: Design the user interface for the system, which could be a web application,
desktop application, or mobile app.

8. Backend Development: Develop the backend logic to interact with the database, handle user requests,
and perform necessary operations.

9. Frontend Development: Develop the frontend interface to interact with the users and display
information from the database.

10. Testing: Test the system thoroughly to ensure it meets the requirements and functions correctly.

11. Deployment: Deploy the system on a server or cloud platform for access by users.

12. Maintenance and Updates: Regularly maintain the system, fix bugs, and incorporate any updates or
new features as needed.

13. Throughout the process, it's important to communicate closely with stakeholders to ensure the system
meets their needs and to gather feedback for improvement
