1. Manage the server easily using the GUI.
1.1. Aim:
The main aim of Workshop 3 is to manage the server easily using the GUI of the
Manager and to change the name and time of the respective server.
1.2. Objectives:
1.4. Concepts:
A graphical user interface (GUI) utility called Server Manager comes with Windows
Server operating systems. By offering a consolidated and user-friendly interface for
numerous server-related operations and functions, it is intended to make managing
Windows servers simpler. System administrators and IT specialists who need to
effectively manage and maintain Windows servers in their network environment will find
Server Manager to be a useful tool. Through the Manager's GUI, you can easily
manage the server.

1.5. Steps required for the lab:
From the dashboard of the server manager hover over the local server.

4
Step 2: Setting up Remote Desktop:
Remote Desktop Service enables access to the server's GUI and functionalities
via a remote connection.
A window appears when you press the Remote Desktop Button.
After the Allow button is pressed, a firewall warning appears. The remote desktop
service is activated when you click the "OK" button.

Step 4: Changing time zones
Press the time zone option in the Server Manager menu to change the time
zone. For the benefit of the server, it's crucial to choose the right time zone.

1.6. Conclusion:
In Workshop 3, our main objective was to streamline the graphical user interface (GUI)
for server management. I gained knowledge of effective server management techniques,
including how to modify server names and hours. Server administration is easier to use
using this GUI-based method, especially for individuals who are not familiar with
command-line operations. The need for server customization to fit organizational
demands was underlined during the event.
