Logline: In a world where books have been outlawed, a young woman risks everything to preserve the
power of stories.

Characters:

Elara: A young woman with a rebellious spirit and a love for books.

Kaelen: A stoic soldier who is tasked with enforcing the ban on books.

The Bibliophile: A mysterious figure who leads the resistance against the book ban.

Scene 1:

INT. ELARA'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

Elara sits in her dimly lit apartment, surrounded by stacks of books. She pulls out a worn copy of "The
Chronicles of Narnia" and begins to read.

ELARA

(To herself)

Once there were four children who found a magic wardrobe...

Suddenly, a loud banging on the door interrupts her. Elara quickly hides the book under her pillow and
turns off the light.

Scene 2:

INT. ELARA'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS


Kaelen stands outside Elara's door, holding a flashlight. He shines the light into the apartment, but
Elara's room is dark.

KAELEN

Open up!

Elara holds her breath, hoping he will go away. But Kaelen doesn't. He keeps banging on the door,
getting louder and louder.

Scene 3:

INT. ELARA'S APARTMENT - LATER

Elara finally opens the door, her heart pounding. Kaelen stands there, his face stern.

KAELEN

I know you have books in here.

Elara shakes her head, but Kaelen doesn't believe her. He steps into the apartment and begins to search.

Scene 4:

INT. ELARA'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS

Kaelen finds a hidden compartment in Elara's wall, filled with books. He pulls them out and examines
them.
KAELEN

You know what this means.

Elara looks down at the floor, ashamed. She knows she could be arrested, or even worse.

Scene 5:

EXT. CITY SQUARE - DAY

Elara stands in the city square, surrounded by a crowd of people. She is about to be executed for her
crime.

ELARA

(To the crowd)

I believe in the power of stories. They can teach us about ourselves and the world around us.

The crowd is silent. They have never heard anything like this before.

Scene 6:

EXT. CITY SQUARE - CONTINUOUS

Suddenly, a figure emerges from the crowd. It is the Bibliophile, dressed in a long black cloak.

THE BIBLIOPHILE
We will not let them silence us!

The crowd cheers, and a riot breaks out. The soldiers try to control the crowd, but they are
outnumbered.

Scene 7:

INT. THE BIBLIOPHILE'S HIDEOUT - NIGHT

Elara sits in a room filled with books, surrounded by other rebels. The Bibliophile stands at the front of
the room, holding a book aloft.

THE BIBLIOPHILE

The power of stories is too great to be extinguished. We will fight for our right to read!

The rebels raise their fists in the air, united in their cause.

Scene 8:

EXT. CITY STREETS - DAY

The rebels take to the streets, armed with books and their own courage. They fight for the right to read,
and for the freedom of all stories.

Scene 9:

INT. THE PALACE - NIGHT


The king sits on his throne, watching the chaos in the streets below. He realizes that he can no longer
control the people.

KING

(To his advisor)

We have made a mistake.

Scene 10:

EXT. CITY SQUARE - DAY

The rebels have won. The king has lifted the ban on books, and the people are free to read once again.

ELARA

(To the crowd)

The power of stories has prevailed!

The crowd cheers, and Elara smiles, knowing that the fight for freedom has just begun.
