The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is responsible for conducting and grading national examinations such as the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). The grading system for UCE categorizes results into divisions based on the number of subjects passed and the aggregate scores, with specific requirements for each division. Candidates who do not meet the necessary criteria for subjects will receive a Result/Division 7, indicating they have not qualified for a UCE Certificate.
