ENGINEERING DESIGN REPORT Nº
1 INTRODUCTION
This document share information regarding the Inprocess Booster + training program methodology
and agenda.
Inprocess Booster+ uses integrated working process to boost chemical engineering knowledge in
plant design where the student get prepared for chemical engineering and plant design jobs based
on the 4 pillar of plant design: Design Basis, Process Simulation, Engineering Drawing, and Plant
Design.
This knowledge is shared in the Inprocess Booster+ platform on five main tracks plus 3 additional
tracks:
Track 1 - Onboarding: Instructions for the best experience on your training, including ways of
support, features etc
Track 2 - Design Basis: Learn all the technical bases to start your work as a chemical engineer
in plant design jobs;
Track 3 - Process Simulation: Become skilled performing heat and material balance using
Aspen Hysys and/or DWSIM (free simulator);
Track 4 - Engineering Drawing: Reading and development of block, and process flow diagrams
and, piping & instrumentation diagrams;
Track 5 - Plant Design: Develop calculation sheets and process documents for piping, drums,
columns, pumps, compressors, etc.
Track 6 - Software and Tools: Access to Jeferson Costa’s library of software, standards,
guidelines, and books for chemical engineers;
Track 7 - Boost your Knowledge area: Additional classes to extend your knowledge on
chemical engineering and plant design subjects;

Additionally to the above five tracks, Inprocess Booster+ shares with its students the following three
tracks for boosting their knowledge:
Access to free process simulation software, free CAD drawing software, guidelines for process design,
control valve selection software, and pressure relief device selection software
Classes covering chemical engineering and plant design subject beyond the ones covered in the
standard tracks.
Be challenged to use all skills learnt during the training program to develop heat and material balance
using process simulation software and selection of equipment. Completion of this track confirms the
chemical engineer is ready for plant design jobs.
