TRAINING COURSE

FIRST OFFICER The First Officer programme consists of induction, systems and procedures
ground training, full flight simulator sessions and conversion course. Training
introduces and/or consolidates jet aircraft operations, multi-crew operations,
safety standards, efficient operation, passenger considerations and flight
operations disciplines.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS AS A CATHAY PACIFIC

Target Annual Salary comprises Basic Monthly Salary in addition to Monthly


Productivity Pay which is calculated on the number of block hours flown above
the Minimum Monthly Block Hours and is based on the target hours for each
fleet.

MONTHLY ALLOWANCE
Upon commencing employment with the Company as an FO1 you will be paid
a monthly allowance of HK$20,000. This amount will be paid in addition to your
Basic Monthly Salary and Monthly Productivity Pay.

PROVIDENT FUND
The Company contributes the equivalent of up to 10% of your salary into the
Cathay Pacific Airways Provident Fund. You may also elect to transfer the
benefit entitlements from your previous employer into the Fund subject to
approval by the Trustee. Alternatively, you may elect to join the Mandatory
Provident Fund.

INTEREST FREE LOAN
You are eligible for a HK$100,000 interest free loan, to be repaid by deductions of equal amounts from your wages over
eighteen months. Further details and acceptance of this loan is provided for in the offer of employment.

DISCRETIONARY YEAR END BONUS AND PROFIT SHARE PAYMENT


As a First Officer, you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus award. For any period of employment less than one year,
any discretionary annual bonus will be paid on a pro-rata basis in accordance with Company policy.

Any declared profit share payment is based on the airline’s audited consolidated annual results to reward employees for
their contribution to the Company’s success.

CHILDREN’S EDUCATION ALLOWANCE


Children's Education Allowance will be extended to all pilots based in Hong Kong. This is currently a cash allowance of
HK$60,000 per annum per eligible child, and each officer will be able to claim for up to three children. There is also a capped
additional annual allowance of HK$40,000 offered on a reimbursement basis with valid receipts for each eligible child
attending a registered school in Hong Kong and overseas.

LEAVE
As an FO1 you will be entitled to 28 days of annual leave per leave year and leave entitlements increase at specified
progression points through the ranks. Sick leave, parental leave and compassionate leave are also provided.

TRAVEL AND CARGO BENEFITS


On day one of your employment, you can enjoy travel
benefits on the Cathay Employee Travel Scheme, and have
access to all Cathay Pacific commercial flights at industry
discounted ticket prices. If married, the scheme will include
your spouse and dependants. If you are single, you may
nominate a friend to enjoy the travel benefits. In addition, you
may nominate up to four family members (parents, siblings
and, if married, parents-in-law) to enjoy these travel benefits.
Upon completing 6 months of continuous service with the
company, you will unlock industry discounted ticket price on major airlines.

You will also have access to rebated cargo after 6 months of continuous service with Cathay. Eligible employees may ship
cargo at a discounted freight charge.

MEDICAL AND DENTAL BENEFITS


The medical scheme covers consultations, medication, surgery and hospitalisation charges at a company appointed panel
of doctors and at recommended hospitals. The dental plan is an optional benefit which provides access to comprehensive
dental care in Hong Kong. Such benefits would be extended to your spouse and dependants should you elect to do so.

INSURANCE BENEFITS
We insure your flying licence to a maximum of 24 months’ salary in the case of loss of licence for medical reasons and
insure the death of a pilot in service to an amount equiavlent to the sum of 60 months’ salary.

Optional insurance coverage for income protection, travel and critical illness are also available.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE
Relocation assistance is available for new joiners coming from overseas. New joiners are eligible for a free of charge cargo
shipment of 180 kg per adult and 90 kg per child, for household goods from a Cathay Pacific online port to Hong
Kong. Joining tickets will be provided to new joiners and eligible dependants from a Cathay Pacific online port to Hong
Kong.

HONG KONG SALARIES TAX


Salaries tax in Hong Kong at present is not more than 17% of an employee’s gross emoluments. Tax is payable on all cash
allowances provided.

TRAINING COST
The Company will provide you with a loan to cover the cost of your type rating course and training courses which will be
paid directly to the course provider. The loan amount will be HK$280,000 and will amortise in equal amounts over a period
of 36 months from the date of commencement of employment. The Company may, at its discretion, reduce the amount of
this loan if elements of the courses are not required.
