The quality of a product depends on the design, manufacture and inspection as well as the packing and
storage condition. Upon delivery to the customer all MICO products, (spare parts and components) must
fulfill stipulated quality requirements regardless of when they are delivered. The products available in your
stores have already undergone final inspection. Therefore, special attention should be given to avoid
wrong storage, which might lead to defects and customers complaints.

However, proper storage notwithstanding, prolonged storage can impair the appearance, function,
reliability, and even service life of a product. For this reason, depending on the product, ambient conditions
(temperature, humidity etc.,) and protection in packing, certain maximum storage periods have been
specified. Maximum storage periods in years for all MICO products/parts reckoned from the date of
manufacture or packing as the case may be are given overleaf.

Consequently, in addition to proper storage, inventory movements should be so organised as to follow first
in first-out system. This would ensure the disposal of the items available with you within the storage period
recommended by MICO.
