INTRODUCTION The Acts were introduced to redress the imbalances of the past in the economy. The aim of the Acts is to ensure that
transformation takes place in the economy.

You must focus on the following FIVE aspects, namely: who, what, why, how is it working & recommendations when you are
working through this lessons.

the economic participation of Black people in the South African economy. This is achieved by implementing the
following pillars: ownership, management and control, skills development, enterprise and supplier development
and socio-economic development.
